The Cute Boy at the Café

For any other person, they'd find it nice to know a small café has a regular like Hyunjin. It's probably because it's the closest café to his university, but that's probably half the truth. Most of it could probably be because of a certain boy, Hyunjin took interest in who works at the register most of the time.

As Chris slowly approached the café that he dearly loved and found comfort in each day, he let out a soft sigh. He knew he was probably going to be a bit late, but at the same time his coworker was normally a bit later than him at times. Even though the said male tends to show up later than him, he still magically gets the work done, which surprises Chris each time. Once Chris arrived, he noticed his coworker already at the register. With a soft small he went behind to counter into the staff room, his coworker following shortly afterwards.

"Ok, spill, you're normally the early one. Why're you a bit late?" The male asked, as he watched Chris getting ready for his shift. "Well, I walked here, I didn't drive here like I normally do." Chris said with a light chuckle, once he was done before turning to the younger, seeing a confused expression on his face, causing him to burst into laughter. "Felix please, it's fine. I just didn't feel like driving today." He stated once he stopped laughing, receiving a sigh from the other in return. "Is there a reason why you didn't feel like driving?" Felix asked, a bit curious. Chris only shrugged. "I guess I just wanted some fresh air."

"Fair enough." Felix said, before turning to exit out the staff room, with Chris right behind him. "So, when did you dye your hair back blue?" Chris asked, as they made their way back up to the front, before Felix let out a soft hum. "Over the weekend." Chris lightly hummed as they entered the front of the café. "I wonder if a lot more than that happened over the weekend." Chris said, causing a small laugh to erupt out of the blue haired male. "You'll just have to find out then I suppose Chris." Felix said, before going back to standing at the register the moment he saw customers coming in, while Chris got ready to make the orders.

"Yo! Bro!" Someone called out as they wrapped their arm around Hyunjin's shoulder, startling him. He looked up to see both Jisung and Seungmin standing in front of him, and released a sigh. "What?" Hyunjin asked as he looked at the pair in front of him. "What do you mean 'What' class ended 20 minutes ago, let's go." Seungmin said, as he and Jisung waited on Hyunjin to get his stuff together for them to leave. With a soft hum, Hyunjin got up when he was done getting his stuff together. "How much longer till our next class?" Hyunjin asked once they made it out into the hall.

"I believe an hour left, right Minnie?" Jisung said as he looked over at the said male, receiving only a hum in response from him. "You think we'd be able to stop by the café before our next class?" Hyunjin asked, pulling out his phone to look at the time. "I mean, the café isn't far from here so maybe?" Seungmin said, before they made their way to the front entrance of the university. Once they made it to the entrance, they exited the building, well not before Jisung asked a question that the other two weren't expecting, well.. mainly Hyunjin. "You think the boy Jin has a crush on will be there?" Jisung playfully asked.

Upon the question Hyunjin became flustered. "He probably is, now if he'd be on the register when we enter is a different story on its own." Seungmin said, as they made their way to the café. "You know, I don't think Jin orders things most of the time." Jisung said. "Probably because he's too busy staring at that boy and daydreaming." Seungmin added. All the teasing Hyunjin was receiving was only causing his flustered face to heat up more and more, as he released a soft groan, while placing his head into his hands, meanwhile Jisung and Seungmin let out soft laughs before patting the other.

"Come on, we're wasting our time here." Seungmin said, before both him and Jisung took one of Hyunjin's hands from his face and started to gently drag him to the café. Hyunjin loves his friends, but if there was one thing he learned about them, is that their teasing was endless, but despite that, he knew they meant well. He couldn't be mad at the pair, regardless of all the teasing. As they continued to walk the café slowly came into view, he released a light sigh. "We're almost there." Hyunjin stated without trying, he was just happy to go back to this café.

Although the café was a bit slow, Chris and Felix were thankful it was at least peaceful and that there were no fights breaking out. They can deal with karens coming in, since they knew how to deal with them, but fighting wasn't something they wanted in the café by no means. Most people who did enter the café were either highschool or university students. Fights would be normal between the two groups, but Chris and Felix never allowed the fighting. Well at least no around the café they didn't. If it was away from the café they couldn't care what happened.

Although, not all good things last, meaning the peace in the café didn't last. Not long after Hyunjin, Seungmin and Jisung arrived at the café, a fight broke out unexpectedly. Felix was busy making some muffins, because they were running low, which left Chris to go over and break up the fight as much as he could. Thankfully Chris managed to get the fight over with, along with kicking the people out and left them off on a warning. With a sigh Chris went over to the table the three were sitting out to get their order. "I apologize for the issue that caused the moment y'all stepped in." Chris said, as he held his notepad and pen, ready to write down whatever the three were going to ask for.

"So, our friend Seungmin over here, his birthday is today. I'm curious, do you think y'all can get us a cake for it?" Jisung asked, ignoring the shocked expression his friend who just recently turned 24, is giving him. Chris lightly nodded in response, and wrote it down on his notepad. "Anything else?" He asked, as the three seemed to just sit there. Jisung hoped Hyunjin would try shooting his shot, but the older just decided to stare at the table, not trusting himself to look at Chris, erupting a sigh out of Jisung. "Yeah, maybe your number for this shy idiot over here." Jisung said, as he pointed at Hyunjin.

Jisung took notice of Hyunjin getting flustered all over again, while Seungmin noticed Chris' cheeks turning a soft shade of pink. With a nervously shy chuckle, Chris flipped his notepad to a clean page, and wrote his number on it, before handing it to Hyunjin. "Now, seriously, anything else?" He asked, while Jisung and Seungmin let out small laughs due to Hyunjin's flustered state getting worse. "Maybe a few drinks.. Oh! And maybe a few of y'all's famous brownies." Jisung said, erupting another chuckle out of Chris' as he flipped back to the original page with their order on it and wrote the few things on it.

"Now I assume that would be all?" Chris asked, to which the three, well... two nodded at. That was all Chris needed, before walking away to hand Felix the paper with the order on it. "Ji you suck.." Hyunjin mumbled out, causing Jisung and Seungmin to start laughing. "Hey you got his number out of it." Jisung stated, clearly proud of himself. To which all Hyunjin could do was shake his head and lightly chuckle. "Considering how long you've been crushing on him, it was about time." Seungmin started. "Although, I think Ji got too impatient."

"Oh you don't say?" Hyunjin asked, with his normal sassy tone, before lifting his head to look at the pair. "But it at least tells me, y'all look out for me... maybe too much tho." Hyunjin stated, causing Jisung and Seungmin to smile. "It's what friends are for Hyun." Jisung stated, before Chris showed back up with the stuff they ordered.
