Life with Harry around was making the summer much more enjoyable in all the Weasleys' eyes. He very quickly found his place within the Burrow. Molly put Harry in Mavis and Ron's room while he was here; it's where Harry stayed while Mavis was with Hermione, and he was very much settled nicely on the floor of their small shared room. Molly would have Mavis move into Ginny's room for the rest of the summer but ultimately decided against it, fearing that it would lead to many problems.

Ron and Mavis's room was almost at the top of the Burrow. It was almost always hot and humid in the bedroom during the summer. They were also right below the two ghouls that lived in the attic. The rest of the Weasley family were quite fond of the ghouls; however, they loved to bang on pipes and howl when the house would get too quiet, particularly at night. The room was quite congested, having to hold both twin's belongings. Ron's half of the room was colored orange, representing his favorite Quidditch team, then Chudley Cannons. Mavis's side of the room was filled with pages ripped out of books and taped to the wall. She also had a small section of her wall dedicated to plants. Mavis's favorite was her blue Spider-Monkey plant, which, once a year, would bloom beautiful yellow flowers that she would use to make perfume. Harry loved the twin's room and how personalized it was.

The time spent at the Burrow was going too quickly for Mavis. She was unprepared for how much fun she'd have with Harry around. Their favorite thing to do would be to take their brooms and go up the hill to a small padlock the Weasleys owned. It was surrounded by trees that blocked it from view of the village below, meaning that they could practice Quidditch there as long as they didn't fly too high. They couldn't use real Quidditch balls, which would have been hard to explain if they had escaped and flown away over the village; instead, they threw apples for one another to catch.

Ron threw an apple at Harry, "Good catch!" he yelled as Harry caught the apple. "I'm sorry again about Ginny this morning."

Harry flew over to where Ron and Mavis sat on their broomsticks. "She's quite skittish, isn't she?"

"No," said Mavis, obviously annoying. She's just obsessive. You should've seen how she was acting all summer. She's gone mad."

"I think just likes Harry," said Ron. "Really likes Harry—usually she can't shut up—"

Ron was knocked off his broom by an apple flying into the side of his head.

"Ow," Ron said, rubbing his temple, "Whatcha do that for, Mavis?"

Mavis shrugged at her twin, "I thought you were ready to catch it," she said plainly. "I'm about done with this," she said as she got off her broomstick, "I think I'm going to go clean up a little before bed."

Mavis took off down the hill before Ron or Harry could respond. She felt such anger in her chest and could not place it. She put her broom on the side of the Burrow and walked into the kitchen, where her Mum was working on a snack for Ginny.

"You know, Ginny," said Mavis as she passed through the kitchen, "This could very well be the last time Mum makes you a snack. She stopped making them for me after I left for school; perhaps you'll share the same fate."

"Don't be so pessimistic, Mavis," Molly yelled after her daughter, "You stopped asking me to make your snacks! Do you want a snack?"

Mavis stopped herself from going up the stairs quite yet and turned around. "Interesting..." she said, tapping her chin. "Mum, I would love a snack."

Molly laughed, "Honestly, I thought you'd say no... we're out of peanut brittle... but next time!"

Mavis continued back up the stairs, not shocked, "Yeah, whatever," she whispered to herself.
