But I found some files in akash's clost that I thought would be important to see and what I saw was unbelievable. It was mine and akash's marriage certificate. I couldn't believe my eyes . I was lawfully married to akash Reddy? Now that such proof has been found I can no longer act as I don't know anything nor are these papers fake. I needed to think fast and I rushed downstairs with a genius plan. I came downstairs and I saw the whole family eating and talking. I decided to go quietly but I guess that wasn't possible.
" Bhabhi, itna sajh dhaj ke kaha jaa rahe ho? " Ena asked.
" Lagta hai bhai ne kuch zyada hi maang liya. "Elena said and everyone laughed.
" Chup raho dono. Ha, karva chauth toh hai. Haina veronica ? " There was a man sitting with my mother in law who said that
" Yes, today is karva chauth and if you're thinking about going to temple in that dress. " She said.
" But I'm not going to temple. " I said quietly.
" Then where? " My father in law asked.
" I have decided to get a job. " I replied. Everyone was shocked and did not reply. Elena quickly finished her food and tried to go away to her room and the maids and servants were ignoring me and quickly went inside the kitchen.
" Beta, Reddy parisar ke ghar ki ladkiyan naukri nahi karti hai. " He said. I was shocked.
" Kyu? " I asked and no one replied. Finally my sasuma ( mother in law) came to me and offered me a thali to go to temple.
" Jao mandir ho ao. Maine saree tumhare room mei rakhwa di hai aur yeh naukari ke baare mei bhool jao. " She said.
" Bhool jao? Are naukri ka hak toh sabko milna chahiye. Aap aese mujhe mana nahi kar sakti. Maine toh interview ke liye apply bhi kar liya hai. " I said.
" Aur kis job ke liye? " My sasur asked raising his eyebrow.
" Ca intern ke liye "I said without hesitation. Every where was silence.... Was I supposed to now run a war of the equality to jobs?
" Okay you can go but after the puja. " My sasur said.
" Ji, . " I replied.
" But dear where is it? " My sasuma added.
" It's in.... Kerala " I said.
" In Kerala?!? " Both of them shouted?
"Don't wake akash up. But yes it is in Kerala. I'm sorry but I have to go. " I said in a soft voice.
