Secrets// Lyle Menendez

Chapter 1

September 5th was a huge day for Kalea and Erik. It was the first day of college for both of them. Erik was an acting Major and Kalea was a law major.

"Hey Lea you ready?! Car is leaving now." Erik yelled from the living room of their shared apartment.

Kalea grabs her backpack along with her shoes running downstairs. "Yea sorry I couldn't find my law book, but let's go."

Erik shakes his head and laughs softly wrapping his arm around his best friend's shoulders "Let's get this shit going."

He closed the door as they both started walking to the car "I'm so scared, what if I can't make it into the law program next year?"

"Would you calm down Lea, you come from a family of Judges, lawyers and doctors, you got this!" Erik looked at her as he pulled her close to him. "And if you don't then you just work harder. But with me being your best friend I'll help you study."

As they got to the campus they walked in together, Kalea looked around and smiled as she looked at Erik.

"I have 2 classes today my one class ends at 11 this morning and my other one is at 1 this afternoon, then tomorrow I have 3 classes. So I will see you when you get home? I'll just walk home."

Erik nodded kissing her cheek softly and whispered softly "Good luck."

She smiles softly as she walks towards her class. She walked into the lecture hall. She sat down kinda in the back of the room.

After class was finished she walked to the dining hall to take some lunch back to the apartment with her, she sighs walking home it wasn't too far from the campus but enough to make her want to take a nap when she got home.

A little while later while doing homework and eating some dinner she made. There was a knock at the door, she sighs thinking it was kitty who was Erik and Lyle's mom.

"Kitty you aren't welcomed here nor should be close to Erik." She sighs as she opens the door but it wasn't kitty.

"Well knowing that you’re very overprotective about my baby brother." Lyle laughs softly looking at Kalea

"Oh my god!" Kalea tears up a little as she throws her arms around his neck hugging him tightly.

Lyle smiles softly as he hugs Kalea tightly "I wanted to come see you and Erik but I see you're the only one home."

Kalea pulls away "He has three classes today. I only had 2 classes. I'm doing homework and eating dinner,"

Lyle walks in closing the door and sits next to Lea looking at her homework. "So are you sure you want to be a Lawyer?"

"Runs in my family of course I want to be a lawyer. My mom's a prosecutor and my dad's a judge." She said looking at her homework.

Lyle gets up and kisses her cheek softly walking in the kitchen grabbing a bowl of spaghetti she has made for dinner. He walked back out to the living room. Erik walked in the door a few minutes later after Lyle sat down.

"Hi baby brother how was your first day of school?" Lyle asked taking a bite of his food.

Erik looked at Lyle with a confused expression on his face "When did you get back to LA?"
