After a long day of work I was tired. Exhausted. It was 4 am and I was just making it back home. I was more tired than usual after a long day of work. I would think my body were used to it but I guess not. I sighed quietly unlocking my front door. Walking in I was quickly greeted by aj. "Hi baby!" I smiled at her , rubbing her head. I let her out in the back yard, making myself something to eat.
After letting aj back in I was sitting on the couch, eating while I had been doing some work on my laptop. As I was soon getting ready for bed.
Sighing I closed my laptop and got up to walk up the stairs.
Looking at the stairs. There were way too many. I sighed quietly. I was beyond tired. I'd have to go up there and change and then get into bed. I couldn't do it. I slowly begin to walk up the stairs. After two stairs I was completely out of breath. Turning back around.
"Absolutely not." I mumbled to myself. I had to be back at work at 9 walking To the laundry room I put on some socks and some shorts. Waking back to the living room with a blanket I laid down on the couch, very close to dozing off until I heard my phone buzz.
Picking it up. It was Kamala. Her name was saved in my phone as "boss lady" Picking up the FaceTime call. "Yes Kamala?" I asked shifting on my side. "Are you just getting back in?" I heard her ask. "Well look at you stating the obvious." I said rolling my eyes. "Amanda." She said in a warning tone. I was tired and annoyed. What did she want from me. "Yes?" I asked closing my eyes.
My phone was rested on my chest while I spoke to Kamala. She ignored me and went on to ask me how my day was. "Very long. Tiring." I said honestly. I'm sure she could tell I was incredibly tired. My voice was soft and steady. Quiet even.
"You sound so peaceful" I smiled a little hearing her say that. "How was your day?" I asked wanting to return her energy, not wanting to leave her on the dry note even when being tired. "My day was something" she commented, making me chuckle. "Tell me about it?" I asked shifting comfortably against the couch again. "First why are you on the couch?" She asked laughing. "Hey don't laugh at me.. I'm too tired to go up the stairs" I said rolling my eyes.
"Mind your business when it comes to me." I said. "Oh darling you are my business. All of my business in fact." She said lowly.
Shaking my head , I tilted my head but didn't deny it. "Back to your day?" I asked tiredly, feeling as if I could fall asleep any minute but I was trying to stay awake just a little bit longer to listen to her. That caught me off guard, wait for her? With my sleep? I didn't realize I was getting this attached, I didn't know when I even gotten attached. "Are you listening to me?" I heard her ask. Looking down at my phone I laughed quietly. "Yes continue." I said nodding my head encouraging her to continue
After a few minutes, maybe even seconds I had completely dozed off, falling asleep on her In fact. Subconsciously turning onto my back cuddling into the blanket as I slept
