⁀➷ "Japanese soccer's teamwork capability is the best in the world. You can say it's a gift of our country's propensity for considering others.."

Despite the positive comments, his tone of voice says it like it's the worst thing you could say to someone.

"But in turn, everything here is second rate at best."

Ego's words were like acid, dripping from the murky and leaky ceiling, glowing with the acidity of the weight of his words. It gave the whole room this unnecessarily thick atmosphere.

Air, something you can't really feel, started to weigh on your shoulders as you questions were pooling out of Ego's mouth one by one, you could feel the man on stage slowly morphing into a form of.. A freak.

'A soccer freak.' you cringed.

"Answer me this, what is soccer?" a sport.

"A sport where eleven people combine their power?" combine is a generous word.

"Something about treasuring friends? And for the friends we make along the way?" who even says that in high school.

"Wrong. And that's exactly what's wrong with this country's play."

Another loud bang, and the lights now projected the picture of a Japanese team, men with expressions of neutrality, all kneeling one foot.

Solitary faces. Yet they all depend on one another in practice.

"I'll tell you the real definition of soccer,"

"It's a sport where whoever scores the most points is the best on the field, if you want to preach about getting along and elementary school friendship bullshit then piss off."

"I.. disagree with that.. Please take that back.." if you say please that only makes your statement weaker.

You turned your head to peer over Kira once more, being a main character or frat boy or whatever you would call it, your eyes felt bare with emotion, naked of interest for what this random kid had to say.

"Players like Honda or Kagawa... and there are plenty of others.." the teen sternly stated, taking a stance against the organizer for Blue Lock, you don't need to squint to see that look in his eyes.

"Watching eleven people battle together, we grew up watching our japanese teams cooperate!"

"..."

"None of them have won the world cup, right? Then they're utter trash, I'm talking about the world's greatest." Kira's eyes narrowed in offense as he was effectively silenced.
