Emily POV

I just made it to Texas. Thankfully, I don't have to meet with DeAndre Jordan about his termination until tomorrow.

I decided to spend some time with my folks to pass the time.

"Emmy!" My Dad yelled in excitement as he pulled me in for a hug.

"Papa? Was machst du hier?!" I asked in German, seeing as that's where he's been stationed at for the last six months.

"Well hello to you too," he laughed.

"Oh sorry, I just can't believe it's really you. I missed you so much Dad!"

"I could tell from all the phone calls that I didn't get"

"Yea...about that, I'm-"

"No no, save that for some other time. All that matters is that we're both here now. Now, what are you doing here?"

"Terminating a contract"

"Aww I'm sorry to here that honey"

"Yea me too, but we picked up another player so it's all good"

"I'm so proud of you Emily. You had a slow start, and I know that your mother and I didn't agree with a lot of your decissions, but look at you now-"

"Working for the Clippers," I smiled.

"Haha yep, so where are my court side seats?" He asked with a serious tone.

"Oh, uhmm"

"I'm kidding Em, I'm hardly ever here to ever go to one"

"Would you like to sit in on a practice sometime soon?"

"That would be awesome Emmy, thank you"

"No problem...so where is Mom?" I ask as I take a seat at the kitchen table.

"Actually, she should be here any minute. She said that she was on her way home from the grocery store. She doesn't know that I'm here, so I want to suprise her"

"Aww Dad, that's cute. I can leave if you want, I don't want to outshine your suprise with mine"

"Nonsense, I'm glad that you're here. And she'll be happy to have the both of us-"

He stopped mid sentence at the sound of a car pulling up.

We decided to just act natural, rather than doing a complete surprise and possibly giving her a heart attack.

She walked in with a bag of groceries, and Dad nodded for me to speak first.

"Need any help Mom?"

"What the- Emily?! Oh my goodness! Baby, what are you doing here?!" She dropped the bag and hugged me.

"We're both doing a surprise visit," my dad spoke up from his place in the doorway.

"Wayne?!" My mom ran over to him and he pulled her into a loving embrace. She immediately started crying.

"Aww Mom, way to ruin a moment," I joked.

"Oh hush you," she laughed, "do you mind grabbing the rest of the stuff from the car?" She asked me.

"Sure thing"

Alison POV

I just arrived home after a long flight from New York. All Emily did was talk my damn ear off. I, for one, am sick of all this talk about marriage and babies! It didn't help that there was a toddler in front of us on the plane, looking back and making faces at us. Emily thought it was adorable, but I just found it utterly annoying. And then it started crying and the damn parents didn't seem to know what to do.
