Yes because a therian is a very weird and strange identity, most therians should understand this.
The therian community online consists mainly of minors but that does not mean older therians do not exist. There are many reasons why adults choose not to show themselves online such as risking their job etc...
There isn't much research into therians mostly because we are a small percentage of the population. There is also the reason of is people don't support sexual or gender identitys most likely many people will push back against therians so we try to keep low and out of the main public.
Being a therian isn't a religion or anything like that. It also isn't about gear, vocals and quadrobics.
Some of you may be wondering what "gear, vocals and quadrobics" are. Gear is a term created by the community to describe outfits or representation of your animal you identify as. Such as tails ears or masks. Gear can also be necklesses, braidlets or clothing.
Vocals are the sound someone makes to imitate an animal. Such as a bird call or a fox yip.
Quadrobics is a sport which involves running, jumping, trotting etc... on all fours. There are many videos on quads or quadrobics if you are still curious.
