Kia is woken up early in the morning. Clothes are thrust towards her "get changed!" The voice hisses and Kia picks up the strange clothes. She opens the knapsack and sees a set of black robes. Curious Kia quickly puts on the white shirt stockings and plaid skirt. The fabric tingles as it resizes and she carefully puts on the black dress shoes. She sits on the bed waiting ...the door opens and Lucius grabs her arm and drags her downstairs. Kia doesn't speak she keeps her head down as he thrusts her through the fireplace he pushes her forward and Kia stumbles slightly before regaining her balance and she begins to walk alongside Draco her eyes are slightly glazed as she walks going through the barrier and getting into the train. She's lost on the shuffle of boarding and Draco's bright hair vanishes. Kia sighs peering into each compartment until she can barely stand. She ends up opening the next door to see a lone boy sitting by himself. He looks out the window at a family of red heads sharing last goodbyes.
He turns and stares at Kia his emerald green eyes nearly matching her own. "I.." "come in" he says and Kia goes in and sits opposite of him. She sets her knapsack on the floor and he looks at her. "Don't you have a trunk?" "I...they're sending it" Kia says softly. "Right"
He says. "I'm Harry Harry Potter" he says holding out his hand. Kia's eyes flash before she whispers "Kia..Malfoy" Harry smiles and takes her hand.
Then the door opens and a red headed boy sees Harry and says "everywhere else was full" Harry moves over to make room for the boy but he nearly sits on Kia. "Whoa!" "Who are you?" He asks. Kia's eyebrow raises and she says "Kia ...Malfoy" "Malfoy?!" He says disdainfully.
"What the devil are you doing here?" He asks.
Kia looks at him for a long moment and she says "I have no reason to defend myself agianst you Weasley." "Then leave!" He says. Kia leans towards the window and she says "no. I was sitting here before you barreled in and harry and I were having a fascinating conversation weren't we Harry?"
The boys eyes widen and he nods "can't imagine what you'd have to say to a Malfoy" he says to Harry. Kia sighs and she turns to look out the window again. "What have nothing to say?" He sneers. "I thought the Malfoy's only had a son" he continues Kai's hand is shaking slightly as he continues to talk. "You really shouldn't be here don't you know who she is?"
He says to Harry. "Her name is Kia."'Harry says "but she's a Malfoy!"
"So?"
"And you're ...you know" Kia turns to Harry "ignore him." Harry looks between Harry and the boy Ron and he says "what are you two talking about?"
"Your scar Harry." Kia says in a tired voice. "What about it?" "Ohh!" He says frowning. Kia shoots a glare at Weasley. "Nice going mentioning that first time meeting him" "at least my father didn't follow the guy that did it!" Weasley says. Kia glares daggers at Weasley but she turns away. Knowing she can't say anything to destroy the narrative mr. Malfoy created. The door opens and a round faced boy
Neville Kia's mind supplies. Something's when Lucius was away Draco would go to meet ups with other pureblood children and he always spoke highly of Neville and his knowledge of plants. Then a bushy haired girl says "has anyone seen a toad?" Kia shakes her head and then she says "hi Neville" the boys eyes widen. "Are you Kia?" He asks softly. Kia nods and then she says "have one of the older kids summon it okay?" Neville smiles and says "thanks." He goes off leaving the girl as
she says "I know who you are you're Harry Potter" "and you are?" Ron Weasley he says "charmed...you know you've got dirt on your nose ..there" she says pointing. I turn away and then she says "who are you?"
"Kia" I say and she smiles and says in Hermione granger ...you should really change into your robes I expect we will be arriving soon. Then she turns and leaves. Shortly after the trolley arrives and Harry buys it out. Knowing I would get sick after surviving on bread and water for the past year and a half I politely decline the chocolate or other sweets. I slip on my robe after the boys leave to change and I wait patiently for the train to stop.
It seems to take an age before the train finally screeches to a stop. Kia stands up and she begins walking towards the door with her bag in tow. One of the older kids sneer at her and say "don't you know you're supposed to leave that on the train?" "Kia!" Drago comes and gently takes Kia's arm. "Are you alright?" Kia doesn't answer she looks to see the older boy is gone. Draco turns to see Ron and Harry standing there staring. "What are you looking at? Red hair and a handmade robe you must be a Weasley. "Light hair and a pointy nose you must be a Malfoy" "you little- "stop!" Kia says as a jet of yellow light leaves Ron's wand and hits her in the chest. She stumbles backwards and Draco curses loudly. She grabs her chest as Harry says "what did you do?
"It's just a Malfoy Harry come on!" He says dragging Harry away.
Kia curls in on herself as if trying to stem the flow unseen by her shirt and robes. She begins to shake as Draco tries to rouse her. "Kia? Kia come the boats are about to leave. "Wha'ems to be the hold up?" The larger man says. Draco scoffs and he says "nothing that concerns you little - he stops when he sees Kia's eyes widen in terror before being relaxed by blankness the man kneels down and he says "ya'ook a nasty spill there didn't you? Now I'll just. - .." he stops when he stumbles back slightly. Draco finally intervenes. "She's she's .." Draco stumbles feeling slightly disoriented himself. Finally the larger man helps both Kia and Draco into an unoccupied boat expands it and sits in the front to finally direct them across the lake. Kia buries her head in Draco's shoulder. He puts a hand on her shoulder until he whispers to her. "Welcome home Kia"
