Hello there! Welcome to my book. this isn't my first creation, so feel free to check out my other works in my Profile! 

This chapter is more of a intro, Me showing yall some stuff and explaining a little bit of lore. I have some pictures of the world i set this in too, that will be after this. 

Basicly, this is set in a world where dragons exist! its called Edriana and it has lots of different areas. 

this is a speech i did that kinda explains the world:

'Hi there! My name is XXXXX (✨privacy reasons✨), and I come from Edriana (i Dont actually dont worry :P), an island state about the size of Indonesia. I am here today to take you on an amazing journey, or at least, I hope to.

You may wonder why you haven't heard of us. It's because, once you enter Edriana, you are sworn to secrecy when you go back out. My mission today is to help convince you to visit our beautiful island.

Have you ever thought about what you would do if you met a dragon? No? Yes? Possibly? Can't remember? Well, now you can meet them for real! Edriana is one of the only places left where dragons still exist. Yes, Dragons. The huge, fire breathing beasts that eat princesses and guard towers. But, in reality, they are nothing like that. Some species are docile and kept as children's pets, whilst others live wild or in sanctuaries and dedicated areas. Roughly 32% of dragons live in sanctuaries, whilst about 60% live in the wild and the others are kept as pets.

I should also probably explain a little on our culture and laws. The Keeper Society: a group dedicated to protecting dragons that monitor sanctuaries, the pet trade and endangered species, basically our government; run our island with help from the public. They create the laws. Some of our laws are things like no poaching, blood is to be taken only with permission from the dragon, and the classic laws of no murder, stealing, breaking and entering and such.

Most people in Edriana are atheist, though other religions are fully accepted. Also, most people believe in the tale of 5; five primordial dragons that died during an asteroid collision. It is believed that they have immortal souls that control the skeletal remains of their past bodies. They create the natural phenomena and disasters. Now we are familiar with the laws and culture of my home, you should be ready for any future visits.

Now that's cleared up, let's get right to it!

You may be wondering if I flew a dragon here. Nope. I took an airship. Unknown to most, Exeter airport has an airship docking station. The price of a ticket to Edriana is about 200 gold, or about £400.Flights to Edriana are usually timed towards sunset, meaning that, when Edriana is reached, the sun is coming up, giving beautiful silhouettes of the bronze high-rise buildings.

One popular tourist location is Angean, Edrianas capital city. A hive for shopping, Angean is a cultural, diverse city filled with people of all shapes and sizes. It is also directly next to a huge lake filled with water, air, and earth sub-species.

People also love the natural landmarks and diverse biomes. The most popular, according to 2024's popularity survey, is Erin National Park, The north-east ridge, and the lakes. Erin National Park is a huge, sub-tropical rainforest filled with dragons, smaller flower or grass dragons, but sometimes massive, imposing boulder dragons and towering tree dragons. It is quite common for the forest to move during the colder months, as the dragons migrate to the opposite side of the mountain to escape the cold. The lakes are huge, deep clear areas of freshwater, where most of the cities are found.

The mountains are perfect for nature lovers, for they hold massive waterfalls and, further up, glaciers and massive dragon skeletons. Plus, They look like huge dragon spines, a giant monster waiting for the perfect time. A must-see for nature enthusiasts or hikers!
