The medicinal paste fell down on the ground.

Aria looked at it and then slowly raised her head to look at Tristan.

Her eyes were full of confusion and shock and when they fell on Tristan, a trace of fear also flickered in them.

Because Tristan was staring at her so coldly and indifferently, as if he wanted to kill her right then and there.

'What was wrong?'

Aria thought in confusion.

Did she do something wrong?

"Don't even come near, My Lord."

Tristan said in a deathly cold voice. He was seething as he continued

"It's because of you. You could stop it right...but you still didn't do it."

He had seen how the wolf listened to her commands. He didn't know what she uttered, but the wolf condoned whatever she said. He was not that dumb that he couldn't understand such a scene.

In the end, she belonged to Ulrik. His master had been too nice to her, but Tristan understood that he couldn't expect anything good from her.

What if this medicinal paste had something harmful?!

Yet she waited until her master was wounded.

Aria didn't understand a single word he said but his voice and his expressions were enough for her to know that he was scolding her.

She unconsciously stepped back in fear when he spoke again and this time more sharply.

"Just leave."

Tristan was frustrated to see that she was still standing there and then, suddenly remembering that she wouldn't understand whatever he said, he gestured to her towards the door.

"Leave!"

He said again.

Aria hesitated as she glanced at Rayan. He was still bleeding. How could she leave!

But Tristan had enough.

"Leave!"

He said again, making Aria flinch, and this time she finally left the room.

The bleeding was not stopping at all. Tristan had a few herbs for himself. They had taken the necessary things while leaving Ludwig. But those herbs could stop the bleeding for only a while.

When he felt the rising temperature, Tristan panicked more.

In this isolated hill, could he find a physician?

But he must do something. Determined to find a solution, Tristan stepped out of the room. His eyes found Aria, who was seated in the kitchen near the stove. He noticed her red and swollen eyes, but he was filled with too much worry and anger right now.

The hut's isolated position only made him feel more frustrated. Without saying anything, he left the hut. Aria looked at his retreating back.

As the door closed behind him, her eyes went towards her own room. She bit her lips as she continued staring at the door.

Finally, taking a deep breath, she stood up and walked towards it.

Slowly, she opened the door so as not to make any sound and stepped inside.

Before closing the door, she looked outside again to ensure that Tristan was not there. He would surely scold her again if he saw her near Rayan again.

Aria gulped in fear when she remembered his anger-filled eyes.

Still gathering her courage, she approached the bed. Her eyes were clouded with worry as she looked at the stained cloth around his wound. He was still bleeding.

Why didn't he do anything?

Aria hurriedly got closer and sat on the edge just near Rayan.

She then touched his wrist and sighed in relief. There was still time.

Hurriedly, she put her hand on his chest, took a deep breath and then gradually closed her eyes.

Her lips opened and closed as she chanted something.

A small light emerged from her hand and then Aria's forehead turned full of sweat. More time passed and slowly her face turned pale, but she didn't stop.

As her lips started to lose their color, Rayan finally opened his eyes slowly. Feeling something warm on his chest, he felt confused and slowly looked down.

His eyes then traveled from a hand that was placed on his chest to Aria's face.

Aria was still chanting something so Rayan could see the light emanating from her hand. As he processed the sight in front of his eyes, Rayan was completely still.

Aria finally stopped.

She looked completely weak.

But when she opened her eyes and saw an awake Rayan, her eyes brightened up instantly, and she called out in her weak voice.

"Rayan!"

Rayan, however, had a completely different look in his eyes. There was no emotion in his eyes and his lips were pressed in a thin line.

The next moment, he held the hand that was placed on his chest and suddenly pulled her towards him.

"How did you do it?"

He rasped because he was still weak.

Of course, Aria didn't know what he was saying. The only thing she could utter in confusion was.

"Rayan!

But Rayan looked completely unready for whatever was happening.

He knew what was happening. He knew why she could do that. He should have known.

The isolated hut in the far away forests, her saving him, the birds being enchanted by her...

Everything was in front of him, yet he refused to understand.

Because a huge part of him didn't want her to be that.

Yet, when everything was in front of his eyes, could he ignore it?

Could he ignore the fact that Aria was a witch?

A witch she was.

And not a normal human being.
