FLASHBACK CONTINUED

As we both stood up to get in the center of class, I guess for the first time I felt like my heart was beating at an inappropriate speed. I can feel myself taking out my handkerchief and wiping my hands.

I can see that Anaisha was also nervous about this. If I already didn't know, I would say she is a tomato.
She is so nervous that she is constantly playing with her hands, an act she does when she is nervous or sad.

I took a step ahead and forwarded my hand in front of her so she could place her hand. She quickly looked at the hand then me as she had seen a ghost.

Seriously, does she think I will eat her? Why is she so nervous around me?

I didn't like the annoyance I feel whenever she tries to avoid me or be nervous around me.

She took my hand after a second in an awkward position as she didn't know what to do with it.

So, I made a better position with her hands on me ignoring the statement of unconsciousness about how this is the first time we are having any type of physical contact.

I placed her hands on my shoulder and asked her before placing my hand on her waist.

“May I?” I asked softly
“Huh?, A-” she looked at me and then hesitantly nodded.

At the back everyone was hooting for Idk what?
Seriously, they are disturbing us. I would prefer them gone.

After being in the position, it clicked that we didn't choose which song we would play. So, I removed my hands from her waist and turned back.

Before I could say anything, a faint voice started which I think Ashish started playing. I don't know which song is this but I guess it is a soft song.

I looked at Anaisha as the music started and then again forwarded my hands which she took more swiftly as before.

We started the dance with a little swirling around and then it clicked to me that this song is way too familiar.

Jaan Ban Gaye

As Anaisha's hand brushed against mine as we were forced together for the couple dance.

Jaan Ban Gaye, a song that always made me feel restless, now seemed to match the rhythm of my own agitation. But, as we began to move, something about the way she twirled, her skirt fluttering around her, caught my attention.
