"Thanks again," Mel said with tears welling in her eyes, but I know Mel, she was stronger than that. She wasn't going to cry. "Girl, don't mention it again," I said. "I just can't believe he kicked you out," I exclaimed furious at Corky. I wouldn't think he'd do such a thing.

"Well he did," Mel shrugged with a gloomy tone. "F*ck him," Mel rolled her eyes. "Yeah, let's just go get the rest of your stuff so we can move it over to my house," I revisited the plan. I was grateful my parents agreed to let Mel stay in the guest bedroom. Mel sighed as we reached his apartment building.

"And he's here," She said noticing his car in-front of his apartment. I knocked on the door. Corky came to the door with money in his hand and a high Ari behind him.

"What y'all on?" Ari asked looking at me with a grin. I struggled to keep my same anger. He was so fine. I felt myself blushing. "We just came to get Mel stuff since she's been put out," I looked Corky up and down, rolling my neck. Me and Mel pushed passed them.

"We don't want no issues, we just gone grab what she need," I exclaimed as Mel went into what use to be her bedroom. "Take what hers," I added. "And we gone be on our way, since she's been put out," I said putting air quotes around put out. Mel came out of her old bedroom, and threw her backpack over her shoulder.

Corky and Ari looked at each other and bursted out into laughter. But, I didn't get the joke. "They a*s so dramatic," Corky chuckled. "Who put Mel out?" Corky asked. "She never got put out!" He said answering his own question. "We got into an argument," He explained. I looked at Mel and raised my eyebrow. Mel raised her eyebrow. Ari removed the blunt from his lips and exhaled smoke.

"I said some pretty f*cked up stuff," Corky huffed. "I know," Corky added. Mel rolled her eyes. "I'm sorry," He apologized. "So sorry," He pleaded. "You don't need to leave 'cause we got in one argument," He sighed. Mel crossed her arms. "I don't want you to leave," He admitted. I saw her facial expression soften. "Please," Corky begged walking over to her. He slowly grabbed the backpack off of her shoulder. "I need you," Corky admitted. Ari chuckled. I jokingly punched Ari in the arm.

"Whats funny about that?" I spat. "Nu-Nothing mamas," He softly kissed my cheek. "Im going to stay," Mel nodded looking over at me. I wasn't mad at her though, I completely understood. Corky smiled taking her bag in the back. "Look the whole gang's back together," I smiled. Ari chuckled as we both heard the loud banging at the door.

"Hold on," Ari yelled at the door. "Cork, somebody at your door," He yelled to the back but before he could respond the door harshly flung open. Four police officers, two with blonde hair that looked as if they were pushing forty, a woman, and a dark haired one, pushed past me and grabbed Ari. The two tackled him to the ground.

"Ariven Karter," The dark-haired one spoke. "Your under arrest", The only female with them spoke. "The charges you are facing are conspiracy in the 1st, conspiracy in the 3rd and robbery in the 2nd," He added gripping Ari's wrists.

"What," I exclaimed confused. "What robbery," I asked feeling tears slid down my cheeks. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you," The woman spoke putting him in handcuffs. "What are you even talking about," I yelled hysterically crying at this point.

"What are they saying?" I exclaimed turning to Mel. "Thats not true," I repeated yelling. "Tell them that's not true," I cried. "Mamas," I heard him softly say. I reached for him, but they snatched him away and dragged him out the apartment.
