once they all finished dinner, the parents headed to the living room to catch up while everyone else went to their rooms to get ready for the night. penelope and lynn silently headed up the stair to lynn's room. dinner and dessert had ran late and so it was already 9:00pm by the time everyone was heading upstairs. when the girls enter the athletes room they see lucy sitting on her bed with Edwin. "thanks for letting me use your bed lucy. i appreciate it" penelope says standing just barely inside the door "sigh" lucy replies standing up, grabbing Edwin and leaving presumably to the basement. lynn starts riffling through her drawers trying to find her pyjamas when it dawns on penelope that she didn't have pyjamas since all her clothes but the ones on her back and her dirty moving clothes were in boxes somewhere. "crap" she mutters under her breath. this causes the girl dressed in all red to pause and look at the other girl. "what" she says in annoyance. "i forgot that i don't have any pyjamas right now" without another word lynn turns back around to her dresser and pulls out two pairs of identical pyjama sets, both red and white with the number one printed on both the shirt and shorts. she hands the girl the second set of pjs with a little bit of hostility that did not go unnoticed. "you can go change in the bathroom" lynn says her voice extra raspy. penelope makes her way to the bathroom and sees that there was a line so she makes her way back through the hall that is still somehow familiar after all these years and walks back to lynns room. "theres a line to get in" "fine we'll just have to both change in here. you turn one way and ill turn the other" lynn says annoyed. penelope was starting to get a little pissed at lynn because even though she didn't like the girl just as much she was trying to be civil to make the best out of the situation.
once both the girls were finished changing, they turned around and just stood in silence for a second. lynn scanned the girl wearing her pyjamas up and down noticing that the curly haired girl looked really good in her clothes. 'stop it. we hate her remember' she thought to herself. penelope noticed lynn staring and placed her arm over her stomach subconsciously feeling insecure thinking of all the awful things she was probably thinking.
once the girls got were changed they had realized that it was only about 9:45, and therefore to early to go to bed just yet. "i'm gonna go find luna to watch a movie. you can come if you want i guess." lynn announced already walking out of the room. penelope followed her to living room where luna was sitting on the couch. "hey nellie, how's it going. sorry we didn't get to talk much at dinner. wanna watch a movie" luna says enthusiastically. "that's actually why we came downstairs" lynn blatantly replies. "okay" luna says dragging out the 'y' feeling the hostility and tension emulating off the two. "i'd love to luna," penelope says sharply glancing at lynn "what do you want to watch" "i was going to watch fear street" "oh my god i love that movie" "samee" lynn just watches the girl with disdain. 'why does she have get along so well with everyone' she thinks herself.
about half way through the movie lynn gets up to go get a drink. "so" says the rockstar clearly on a mission "why do you and lynn hate each other?" "i wouldn't say we hate each other..." "you guys can't even be in a room for a minute without giving death glares or bickering" "fine fine. i don't know to be honest. it was so long ago that i've honestly forgot what started this feud." "so then why not makeup?" luna suggests. when the girls were still friends, luna would often hang out with them too and even from a young age luna felt that they were meant to be close. "i don't know because she infuriates me and hates my guts" "i see, i see" luna was not going to let this go. she felt like it was her life's mission for these girls to make up. when lynn gets back she can feel that they were just talking about something but she brushes it off.
penelope had a long day so she fell asleep before the movie ended. "goodnight lynnie" luna trilled not even offering to help lynn carry the girl to her room. "ugh now i have to carry her up" the athlete was not impressed by this. she looked down at the peaceful sleeping girl, studying her face. she noticed that her eyelashes were incredibly long and that she pouted her lips slightly while she slept making her lips look plump. she stopped herself shaking her head to clear it. why was she having such a hard time remembering why she disliked this girl while they were face to face. lynn picked the girl up bridal style and carried her to lucy's bed. 'thank god that's over' she thought to herself. then laid in bed hoping to falls asleep swiftly.

when penelope woke she saw that lynn was still sleeping which was odd because when they were younger, lynn would wake up at the crack of dawn. penelope thanked god that she wasn't awake and left the room as quiet as possible trying to not wake the athlete. she quietly made her way down the stairs and out the door so she wouldn't be roped into spending another second with lynn, and ran across the street to her house. her mom was awake sitting at the kitchen island with a coffee in her hand. "oh hey honey, how was the sleep over?" "it was okay i guess. it was nice to be able to hangout with luna again" "that's nice. so i've been meaning to tell you that you are going to have to transfer schools to royal woods high because that's the school for this district" her mom announced knowing her daughter would not like this news "what. that's not fair all of my friends go to huntington" penelope exclaimed "actually i talked to the gomezs and they are transferring via too. plus you'll have the louds there to help you" "that's what i'm worried about"
