"We fought endless waves of soldiers of both respect and hatred towards us, giants that blocked the sun and generals of his beliefs."
"Yet, we stood victorious every time and returned to the home you created for us all."
"But it seems that cycle has now come to a sad ending."
"I do not wish for you to be sad on our behalf, for we all know you didn't mean to do this."
"I know deep down you loved us all deeply, to a greater extent than others claim."
"This is my goodbye to you, my sun."
"Promise me, that you will find others that could fill the void within your heart."
"Promise me, that you will find someone that could claim your heart just like I have"
"Promise me, that you will find your answers to all your questions."
"Promise me, that you will find your true self, your origin."
"Promise me, that you will live happily now without the rest of us."
Year 1096, December 25, 22 : 26 PM
Location: Streets of Chernobog
The sounds of explosions and screams echo on the streets of Chernobog, once a peaceful city for the Ursus people but now it's a battlefield between the Ursus forces and a group that has risen from the winter tundra of Ursus.
The sounds of fast footsteps echo in the alleyway of Chernobog as a mother runs while holding her daughter's hand. Soon, they find themselves at the alleyway's exit. However, before they could even exit, the mother heard voices coming from the street. She immediately falls back and puts her daughter behind her. "Mommy?"
"Shhh, everything's okay sweetie just stay behind mommy okay?" The daughter grabs her mother's free hand and nods at her. The mother smiles at her daughter before slowly walking to the exit of the alleyway and taking a peak. The view in front of her sent shivers down her spine as she saw multiple Reunion soldiers walking around the street, breaking windows and stealing items from stores. As she was looking at them, a Reunion soldier turned their head which made the Ursus mother lean back into the alleyway.
"Mommy?"
"Everything is fine dear, we will get to safety." The mother smiled at her daughter as she reassured her. She turns her attention back to the exit of the alleyway and slowly tries to take a peak out of their cover. Reunion soldiers slowly come into her view as they are still doing what they were doing seconds ago. As she sees a clear full view of the street and sees that none of them noticed her, she lets out a relaxed sigh. She turns around and leans down to her daughter and grabs both of her hands. "Listen, sweetie, do exactly what I tell you okay?"
"O-Okay." The mother smiles at her daughter for a few seconds until her expression turns serious.
"We will run to the other side of the street. Do not any circumstance let go of my hand. Do you understand?"
