Dazai spent his day off of work. He was in a farmer's field, stealing some fruits and vegetables. He was checking the stuff and putting it in his homemade basket. He had ran out of crab and Chuuya had forgot to pay his paycheck, but of course since Chuuya was the king he doesn't have to pay him. Dazai wanted to slap that crown off that kings head. He wanted to see chuuya trip and crack his head like an egg. He wanted to- his thought was caught off as someone yelled, "Get off my farm!" An old man was running at Dazai with a pitchfork. Dazai's eyes widened and he ran away, fruits and veggies falling out. But, in this situation he really didn't care.
Dazai bent down, he had lost the farmer. He looked at his basket seeing how it was only half full. "This won't last me a month..." He thought to himself. But what could he do? Ask Mori for money again? No. Mori would ask for a 'special' reward. And he wasn't doing that again. Dazai laid down and sighed. Was this really going to be how he spent the rest of his life? He couldn't die yet. Life wouldn't let him. He needed to be a good dog and he'd get his one-way ticket to death. Atleast....that's what Mori would say.
At Home.
He returned home. He saw Fyodor and Nikolai on his bed. He wanted to tell them to leave and get their own place. But, he was too tired. He walked to to the bathroom and fell asleep in the wooden bathtub. He later woke up in the morning and sat down to eat. He stared at the food, "Just eat it. It isn't poisoned." repeating the words in his mind for awhile. He sat up, and left.
He walked around town until he found a shop where a weaver lived. He walked in, the clothes the tailor made were quite fancy. (At least for poor people in the medieval times.) And the cloth that the weaver made was soft and comfy. He went up to the person at the counter. "May I get some clothing?" He said. The person nodded and yelled, "Bonnie! Get some clothing for this nice male!" Then she looked back at Dazai. "So, you a minstrel?" Dazai replied with, "I mean, I'm a juggler....but not a singer." The woman nodded. "Still attractive." The woman said her finger running across the counter, touching Dazais hand. Dazai pulled his hand away. "What~? Can't handle some women, Bandages?" She said chuckling. Dazai let out a nervous laugh.
Then, a blonde women came out with a basket. She looked foreign. She smiled softly and handed the basket to Dazai. "For free. I'm gonna die soon anyways." The woman said, her smile turning into a frown. Dazai felt some sweat fall down his forehead. He had seen miserable people before, but when he's not the reason, it's kinda concerning. He walked out and saw a dark lord sign on the front. It said, "Believe the Dark Lord! We will all soon die from misery from a young manipulating man!" Dazai froze. Was the sign talking about him? He had always been helping Mori, but he didn't think he'd tell others about him.
Weeks Later At The Kingdom.
Dazai had to work for the cleaner, the king didn't want to get entertained today. The king had him working for awhile. "Oi, Dazai." King Chuuya said. Dazai looked up. "Yes Chuuya-?" Chuuya looked to the side. "Didnt know you had the guts to kill, mackerel." Dazai let out a bitter laugh. "No one does, that's how I get around life." Chuuya expression softened. "I'm sorry. For yelling at you....I was just surprised and it was a lot to take in." Chuuya said. Dazai stared in disbelief. Chuuya, King Chuuya, just apologized. To Dazai. "You can take the day off if you want." Chuuya mumbled. Dazais eyes sparkled. He ran to Chuuya and hugged him. "Hey-!" Suddenly, he felt Dazai's lips on his cheek. He blushed and Dazai smiled before running out the kingdom doors.
Dazai ran home and jumped onto his bed. It was nice to feel the warm fabric under him. His mind went to his thoughts while he picked the fruit. He wanted to take back what he thought. But the damage was done, Dazai felt a little sadness. He shooks the thoughts away and suddenly a scroll appeared in the air falling onto his chest. He opened it, it was from Chuuya. He read it and rolled around. Like Mori simping over Elise's new dress. The king had sent a love note. He was writing back when- speaking of Elise, Elise landed right on Dazai's bed. Reading the note. "Ooh~ Dazais inloveeee!" She teased making kissy sounds as Dazai yelled at he for it. "What are you doing here anyways?" Elise rolled her eyes. "Look what I drew." It was a drawing of the town on fire.
Dazai froze. This was King Chuuya's land, wasn't it? Elise's drawings always came true. Elise finally read who the love letter was to. "Dazai. You can't marry the king." Dazai turned red. "I'm not trying to marry him! I just.." He held his breath before letting go. "..love him....he found his way to my heart..." Elise had a serious expression. She shook her head and left. Dazai looked down. Elise was right. He couldn't love the king....but he couldn't control it.
Dazai looked at the letter, and threw it away.
