*ruby's POV*
I walk through the crowded school I'll now be calling mine. Somerville high school. All i know is that I'm terrified and that this school's much bigger than my old one back at home. I don't know anyone here and I'm probably not gonna make any friends since I'm very socially anxious and terrible at making friends. i keep my head down, trying not to draw too much attention but then someone bumps into me by accident. i look up to a boy with chocolate brown hair and blue eyes, wearing a purple sweater and brown jeans. he quickly helps me up and introduces himself.
"Hi there, I'm so sorry about that! I never look where I'm going!" he chuckles
"Hi, no that's okay! I'm the same!" I reassure and then he looks a bit more at ease.
"Are you hurt?" he asks and i shake my head.
"Oh phew! I'm Nicolas by the way, you can call me Nick" he says,
"Um, Ruby...I'm Ruby, Ruby Morgan. You can call me Ruby" i say and he chuckles,
god. i'm so awkward.
"Do you wanna come sit with me and my group at lunchtime? You're new right?" He offers
"Yeah I'd love that, thankyou! and yes, i am new." i say and he smiles warmly. he has a nice smile, really comforting and welcoming.
"Okay! We sit at the back table at the cafeteria" he starts, "What classes do you have?"
"Science and English" I say,
"Oh me too! With Mr. Cody?" he asks, i nod and smile.
A FEW HOURS LATER
*nobody's pov*
Ruby and Nick have their first two lessons together and then they split for the next two, and after that, Ruby makes her way to the cafeteria to go and meet Nick. She then spots Nick and walks over.
"Hey Nick!" she says with a smile,
"Uhm...Nick?" the boy asks.
"Yeah we met this morning?" Ruby remarks and the boy chuckles.
"Actually, my name's Chris" Chris says
"I swear I thought your name was Nick. I'm so sorry!" Ruby says, the boy shakes his head
"No no actually, I'm one of Nick's triplet brothers" Chris says with a smile
"Oh that makes se-"
"I probably should've mentioned that, huh Ruby?" Nick says with a slight chuckle, appearing behind Ruby.
Chris and Ruby chuckle before another boy appears, who looked the same as chris and nick, so i assumed he was the third triplet.
"Hey Matt! Meet Ruby!" Nick says, looking at Matt.
Matt smiles and gives a little awkward wave, "Hi Ruby, I'm Matt"
"Hi there!" Ruby smiles at Matt and they lock eyes for a split second before breaking away...
*TIMESKIP*
After everyone finishes eating, Nick speaks,
"Hey Ruby do you mind if I get your insta?"
"and me" Chris adds.
"and me!" Matt says.
"of course!" Ruby smiles, taking out her phone.
