Sometimes I lie in bed and rethink everything I've done. All my mistakes, my regrets.
although there are certainly things I am not proud of, perhaps things are just better as they are now. No matter how horribly things have gone in the past I think I prefer things as they are now.
It's quiet, it's not chaotic, well... It's not too chaotic right now, but that little bit of peace will be gone soon. There have been signs, not as subtle as before but clearly there, of an uprising. A war. Just like the one all those years ago.

God am I scared...

July 14th, 1971

Warmth... The gentle sound of birds chirping through the window and... BANG

"WAKE UP CALISTA!! CMON OUR LETTERS FROM HOGWARTS HAVE ARRIVED!" Were the very first words I hear. Not even a 'good morning' and it's still summer why in Godric's name is he being so loud? With a long exhausting yawn, I roll over onto my side in an attempt to cancel out his words.
My twin brother, Isaiah Altair. Ebony, messy neck length hair and Cerulean blue eyes. He was my parents pride and joy. Radiating with confidence and pride, donning a toothy grin. He was perfect, well in their eyes.

Sometimes I wish he'd just leave me alone for a day. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, and my family loves me. But sometimes he's all they ever care about. I think it's because of his dream, he dreams of being an important person in the ministry of magic.

I honestly wish I was with my god parents right now. My god father Henry Witlock and his three year old daughter Genevieve, they're nice and they live in the countryside! I remember when we'd go figure skating together at a big lake... Hopefully I can spend a break with them.

All of a sudden I felt my back hit the cold wooden floor. "OW WHAT THE HECK ISAIAH!?" he burst into a fit of laughter which angered me even more. I watched as he took a step back and tripped and fell. Both of us started laughing even more. "Sorry, sorry! I didn't mean to make you fall, but mom says to come downstairs and eat while she reads out letters." He stood up and held out a hand for me which I gratefully took

When I made it down to the dining room I sat down next to my older brother Gino. Gino was now in his 7th year at Hogwarts, he's at the top of his classes and is head boy for the Ravenclaws.

Mom and dad came into the kitchen with smiles etched across their faces, I could practically feel their excitement from where I was sitting and couldn't help but be excited as well, Isaiah was practically shaking with excitement as my parents cleared their throats to speak.

"Isaiah, Calista. We have very good news for both of you!" Mom glanced at Dad and then to the both of us before continuing "Just now we've received some very important letters regarding where you two will be going to school, and... YOU'VE BEEN ACCEPTED INTO HOGWARTS!!" Mom shrieked with excitement as Dad looked at her lovingly before calming her down. A moment of silence passed before me and Isaiah jumped up and hugged each other screaming with delight, Gino just sighed and smiled at us before congratulating us.

One hour later

"Isaiah... What house do you think you'll be sorted in?" The two of us were currently cleaning our room, I was scared but thrilled to be able to go to such a prestigious school like Hogwarts, Gino would always tell us such thrilling stories about his experiences when he came back for the holidays and with each passing year our excitement would grow. The previous year i'd spent every waking hour studying in preparation, I wanted to be the smartest person in my year and be respected. Isaiah would always tell me about how when it was time he'd join his house's quidditch team.

"Ooo, I really want to be sorted into Gryffindor! I hear it's the house of the brave!" He said, honestly that really fits him. Isaiah is the most adventurous and brave out of everyone in the family and he's also the most mischievous, somehow I'm positive he'll get sorted into the house of Gryffindor.

"Callie, what house do you want to be sorted into?" I thought about his question for a second, I hadn't put much thought into what house I wanted to be sorted into.

"Hmmm.... I think I want to go to Ravenclaw, after all it's known to be a house of geniuses!"

"Just like Gino right?" Isaiah gave me a curious smile as he folded his bed sheets
"Huh? Oh! Yeah just like Gino." I smiled back at him as I reorganized my vanity desk

"Hey... Isaiah?"

"What's up Calista?"

"Do you think we'll fit in? I'm scared that maybe we'll get picked on for no reason..."

"...Callie... You don't need to worry about such a thing. Besides, We have Gino to protect us!" I felt more at ease when he said that, and at that moment I knew I wanted nothing more than to do everything to protect that smile of his. My precious baby brother, I'll be the best big sister...

This may not be as good as expected and it's probably really confusing but I promise that's what I intended!

I'll give you an explanation of this first chapter!

So basically at the very start before the actual introduction (July 14th 1971) is her future self talking! She's currently 11 years old so she's currently going through a roller coaster of emotions. I'll try to add more dialogue but I have a really bad habit of focusing on details. Anyways, even if I'm currently using my OC's name I might go back and change it Y/N, but as of right now I'm only using her name the rest of the things like Favorite foods or colors I'll just use F/F F/C F/D, if I do anything specific about her appearance just know that it's cuz I suck at doing Y/N fanfics and usually just replace everything with my OC.

THERE WILL BE A LOT OF ANGST BECAUSE I LIKE TO WATCH PEOPLE SUFFER!  There's also going to be a bunch of time skips and with every chapter I'll do a little bit of Future Calista (Y/N) POV.

Also this isn't a student x teacher type of fic, I honestly hate those ones especially when I'm looking for a Remus x reader fic. This is student x student!

There will also be a ton of characters that aren't apart of the canon (meaning that the random characters will belong to me) if anyone wants to sneak in their own characters into the background please ask me and I'll give them their own little part in this book. I'll let you guys know when I'll be taking breaks and when I'll give you guys a bunch of new chapters!
