Mark reaches into his jacket and pulls out a long stick."What's that?" Giselle questioned him.

"It's a staff.MINE to be exact."Mark replied while handing the long magical stick over to Giselle.Giselle gratefully takes it and stares at it in pure awe.She murmurs a small 'wow'.Mark smirks.

"Let me introduce you to the functions of this.An arcane focus is a special item designed to channel the power of arcane spell like powers. A sorcerer, warlock, or wizard can use such an item as a casting focus.For me,it's a staff.It helps channel them." He pulls out a small, watertight leather belt pouch with compartments."This is an component pouch" he explained.

Giselle had her mouth open,amazed.

"Some require a Material components, that's where this pouch comes in.It helps cast those spell like powers." he continued."There is also a term called runes.They are marks that have different purposes.Shadow hunters,like Jake, can only use runes from the grey book. Warlocks can use demonic runes like this." Mark then rolled up his sleeves to reveal the 'rune'.

"Do you have more?" Giselle questions.

Mark nods.

Giselle utters a small sound of realization."Can you try doing a spell?" she asks.

"Warlocks do not cast spells, but instead use spell-like abilities called 'invocations' ." He replied and chants an invocation. A random apple came out of nowhere.

Giselle had her eyes widened for a second,but then,she started giggling."Really? an apple?"

Mark smiles cheekily nodding.

"Do you have a book for spells ?" she quizzes.

Mark took out a book from his bag and hands it over to her.Giselle looks at the book,flipping through it?"Can I keep it?" Giselle cogitated."ofc idiot!" Mark exclaimed.

{Soon,they wished their goodbyes and went to their homes}
