Zoya walks into the room, dressed simply yet elegantly in a traditional outfit, her hair falling in soft waves over her shoulders. She feels a swirl of emotions-anxiety, nervousness, and a sense of duty-as she enters the room. Her eyes land on Aarav Singhania, the man she's promised to marry, sitting across the room. Aarav, too, glances at her with the same indifferent expression he had worn all day. He wasn't thrilled about this meeting.

For Aarav, this was merely a family obligation. Marriage wasn't something he had thought much about; his focus had always been on work and business. To him, this was just a formality-a duty to fulfill the wishes of their families.

But the moment Aarav truly sees Zoya, something inside him shifts. His breath catches, his indifferent demeanor falters for a brief second. She isn't what he expected. Zoya's beauty is natural and understated, her presence graceful and magnetic. Despite the fact that he had no intention of being excited about this meeting, he can't help but feel captivated by her. For the first time, Aarav's cold exterior cracks, though only for a fleeting moment.

Zoya, on the other hand, feels no excitement about this encounter either. She had imagined this meeting would be awkward, and her heart is heavy with the knowledge that her future is no longer hers to decide. She avoids looking directly at Aarav, keeping her composure, as she knows this isn't a romantic meeting-it's an arrangement to fulfill their families' wishes.

The families sit together around the expansive dining table. Zoya is seated beside her mother, across from Aarav, who is quietly observing her from the corner of his eye. Both are outwardly calm, maintaining the respectful appearances expected of them. Aarav's parents, Raj and Ritika Singhania, are the first to break the ice, exchanging pleasantries with Zoya's parents, speaking of their long-standing friendship and the deep bond that has tied their families together for generations.

"It's been such a joy to see our families come together like this," says Ritika, smiling warmly at Zoya. "Zoya, my dear, we've heard such wonderful things about you. Your grandfather often spoke of your brilliance and kindness."

Zoya smiles politely, nodding, though her heart isn't in the conversation. She glances at her father, who is watching her with pride. She's doing this for them, for her family, she reminds herself.

Meanwhile, Aarav remains silent but thoughtful. He had approached this meeting with indifference, but Zoya's beauty and quiet grace linger in his mind. Still, he keeps his emotions carefully guarded, knowing this arrangement is less about love and more about familial duty.

The conversation turns serious as both families begin to discuss the wedding details. They speak of traditions, ceremonies, and the future, carefully navigating each aspect of the marriage arrangement. Zoya and Aarav, though silently present, remain passive participants in the conversation. Their gazes occasionally meet, but they quickly look away, neither willing to acknowledge the growing tension between them.

At one point, Aarav's father, Raj, turns to Aarav and Zoya. "It's important that both of you understand the significance of this union. Our families have always been close, and this marriage will strengthen that bond."

Both Aarav and Zoya nod, acknowledging their duty. Despite the surface-level agreement, there's an unspoken understanding between them: this isn't what either of them truly wanted, but for the sake of their families, they will go along with it.

As the evening winds down and the families begin to disperse, Aarav finds himself momentarily alone on the balcony, looking out at the city. His mind drifts back to Zoya-her elegance, her quiet strength. For the first time in a long while, he's unsettled. He didn't expect to be affected by her presence, yet here he is, thinking about her more than he anticipated.

Inside, Zoya stands beside her mother, feeling the weight of the evening. She's agreed to fulfill her grandfather's dying wish, but she can't shake the feeling of being trapped in a situation she never imagined for herself. Glancing once more at Aarav, she sees a man who, like her, seems to be going through the motions for the sake of his family.
