Nerd and the beast

First day

Ugh. I hate first days. I am a senior this year and have to start at a new school. You see, I moved away from my last school because I got out of a miserable 4 year relationship. I brought my brother with me. He's paraplegic. It was because of my ex. My first day, I decided to just wear jeans and a hoodie and sneakers. I had my hair in a ponytail. My brother just wore a white tee and jeans. After I dropped him off at middle school, I drove to Grand Line High. It was a huge school. After paying, I go to the office to get my schedule. While in there, the principal tells a short pink hair boy with glasses to show me around. He has a smile and waves. I put on a small smile. "Greetings. I'm Kobe". "I'm Ebony". "Nice to meet you". "Same here". He leads me around the school. He showed  me where my classes were. "You know, I know we just met, but I have a feeling you'd get along with my friends". I look down at the thought. "It's everything okay"? I nod slowly. "Nervous"? "No. It's just, I've never had anyone be this nice to me before. I've never had friends". He looked shocked. "Never"? I nodded. "Well at lunch, you can come sit with me and my crew. They'll love you". I smile at the thought. While walking to the first period they got quiet. Kobe tried to hide. I asked what was wrong. "Got my history work, pinky"? I turn and see a group of people. I see a guy with Blonde hair and a mask,a girl with blonde hair and the fakest boobs you've ever seen, a pale guy with dreads, and a pale guy with red hair and goggles. "Huh, pinky"? He pushed Kobe against a locker. I got angry. "He won't be giving you anything, goggles". The red hair guy looked at me and glared. "Ebony, are you insane? He's the toughest guy at the school". I get in the redheads face. "He's right, you know. You shouldn't mes with me. You know what happens if someone does "? "I ain't scared of a prick such as yourself. Now leave him alone, tulip". He glares in my eyes. We stare each other down. "Watch who you're talking to, newbie". "Or what"? I hear oos all in the hall. He gets close to my face." Or you'll regret it. I'll make your life a living hell". I don't stand down. That girl in his arms glares at me, then tells him I'm not worth it. He scoffs then walks away. Kobe looked shocked. "What"? "No one has ever really stood up to him like that". "Well, no one hurts a friend. Anyway, who was he"? "His name is Eustass kid. The masked guy was Killer, and the One with dreads is Heat". "And the woman"? "Her name is Evelyn. She's Kid's girl". I don't know why but I felt jealous of her. I shook it off.
My first 2 classes were  Anatomy and Vet tech, back to back, with Dr. Kureha. My 3rd was Choir with Brook, and 4th was weightlifting/ self defense. "Ooo, you have gym with me". I smiled. My first friend and I have a class with him."so here, between each class we have 10 minutes of breaks, and between 2nd and third period, we have lunch. We have one of my friends help cook lunch. He's really good. I will with you though, he tends to scare women". "How is that"? "He flirts with every woman he comes across". "Oh".

"So daddy was with another woman mommy? How are you and him together"? My daughter, Kiki was asking me. We had a big family sleepover with all of my friends. They brought their kids. It's honestly fun. Earlier kid, law, and Luffy were arguing over a fight they were watching on TV. Sanji was teaching killer , and my little brother Austin, how to make a certain dish, usopp was telling the kids really really baf made up stories. Nami, camie, Robin, me, Shira, Hancock, Vivi were all sitting down gossiping. After we ate, the kids wanted to hear more stories. My daughter wanted to hear the story of how I met my friends and married her father. So now I have the joy of telling her the full unaltered truth. Our kids look a lot like us, except for kiki. The only thing she has of mine is  smarts. She has her daddy's looks, and temperament.
"I'll get to that part, Kiki. Remember, I'm telling you the whole story". Kid looked at me."Are you sure you want to do that, E? The whole truth"? "Yes. What if one day she ends up in the type of situation I was in? I want her to know the signs and what to do and what not to do". He sighed and put an arm around me.
