Chapter 21- Finding Peace, But with a Price.

Shadow changed to her wolf form and instantly started ,sniffing everywhere as we walked. Her eyes widen and she bounded off without us.

"Shadow that probably isn't the best idea-" Peng interrupted, but it was to late.

Shadow had leaped into the air and knocked someone over. She glared back at us, blood dripping from her muzzle.

"W-well that w-wasn't him." Toby pointed out as we starred at her.

"No shit Sherlock." Masky replied and roller his eyes.

Anna smacked him lightly and I smiled and thought of when Shadow and Jeff did that....

Anyways, we heard rustling and Shadow dove at it.

"LEAVE THE RABBIT ALONE!" I yelled out and yanked on Shadows scruff. "Were looking for Jeff, remember?"

She whimpered and lowered her head but continued on. Something rustled in the bushes and she poked her nose through it and growled.

"It doesn't feel right." Peng said and shuddered a little. I nodded and pointed at something.

"What's that?"

Shadow stopped and sniffed the air.

"Everyone lay low. I think I know why they didn't want us to follow them." Shadow said and made her fur completely black.

She strutted out and kinda hostile towards them but probated off to the other side of the clearing.

"It's Liu, and Isaac again." Masky mumbled.

I saw Toby desperately wanting to call out 'No shit Sherlock' back to him, but Toby stayed silent.

We snuck around the other side of the clearing towards Shadow and looked at them through the bushes.

"I hope Toby Boy remembers who I am specifically!" Some girl called out.

Toby looked with a confused facial expression before she continued.

"After all, I was Lyra's best friend." She giggled. "Before she died that is."

Toby's face boiled in anger. "Lindsey." He raised his hatchet and went to go through the bush when I grabbed his arm.

I noticed the others had walked off because Shadow has spotted something. Or for someone to cool Toby down.

"Look, I know this has been hard Toby, but it's gonna be fine. We're all gonna get through this. Together." I looked up at him and smiled.

He embrace me in a hug. "T-Thank you. I-it's been hard s-since Lyra l-left." He sniffled and let go. "And I w-wouldn't mind k-killing with you."

"Are you to gonna stand there all day and make out or should we get moving?" Hoodie smirked and pointed behind him.

"Shadows got a trail." Anna replied. And rolled her eyes playfully.

I blushed and looked at Toby. "Come on!" I whispered playfully and dragged him back over to where Shadow was sniffing.

"They've been here. And recent to." She started off into a run as we followed. She leaped over some bushes.

"AHHH BIG SCARY WOLF!!" Someone yelled out. We all looked over the bushes to see something we thought we'd never see again.

L.j on the ground covered in dusty paw prints and Shadow and Jeff hugging each other.

She ruffled his hair a little.

"Did you find your friends?" An older man popped his head above the bushes and looked at us.

I raised my needle and he backed up a little.

"It's ok you guys," L.j replied and brushed himself off. "This is Johnny, Sally's uncle." He winked at us.

Ooo, Sally's gonna be pissed off.

"We saw them a couple minutes ago. It looks like they were resting for a bit." Peng commented back to him and nodded.

"Alright so we have to be very quite then." L.j crept silently as we followed and made it last their group.

"Shadow try and pick up what there saying." Hoodie nudged her a little and she focused her ears in their direction.

"That's all I needed to hear." She smirked after a little while as we were nearing the door to the mansion.

"Man, it's been a long time since we've been back home." L.j said as he looked through the door.

"And exactly who's fault would that be?" Jeff questioned us.

"Oh don't worry, you'll see when we get home." I smirked back and stepped through the door and landed with a thud to the floor.

"Welcome back children!" Slendy said and opened his arms for a hug when Zalgo came and squeezed us all into a big bear hug.

"I don't think it's over yet." Shadow responded. "I overheard them talking about getting revenge, and other shit to scare us."

"Pfft, like that'll happen." Jeff rolled his eyes and took a pop from the fridge.

"Ah yes, welcome home Jeffrey." Anna chuckled and sat closer to Masky than she did to BEN.

"I assume something happened between you two?" L.j said from the back of the couch where he rested his arms.

"I thought you were a kid killing clown, not a gossip clown." Masky commented and rolled his eyes.

"Looks like you all are boy toys." Jeff sipped his pop and I looked at him with a confusing look until Toby wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I thought we'd get you back to have a good time and i honestly feel so attacked right now." Shadow put an offended hand over her heart and Jeff ruffled her hair.

We all laughed and caught Jeff and L.j up with things.

"Hold your horses everyone." Zalgo said from the couch. He was hogging it and I ran in there and rested on the back of the couch.

"A local report says that the residents living in these three homes have been brutally murdered. Their names will not be revealed until all three family are contacted." I leaped over Zalgo and closer to the tv.

"Are you all right?" He questioned me and I looked closer at the house, the car, the yard, and I burst into tears.

Shadow, Anna, and I's houses where shown up on the screen.......

If there's grammar/spelling mistakes do not blame me I blame Shadow 9000%.

It's 5:33 am and she wanted me to update. Plus we both drank a lot of coke zero and idk what sleep is anymore XD
