Desperado

CHAPTER six

DOLLY's POV:

Work at the office was  a bit slow because of the Christmas holidays, it was boring,but at least it was a better way to pass time than actually sulking around in my PJs waiting for a man who didn't care about how o felt but claimed he loved me to get released from the confines of his mistress.

I had phoned his office twice this morning to inquire of his presence but his secretary Lana kept saying "he hasn't been here today ma'am, are you guys okay? Do you mind if I place a call through to him"

I debunked the idea of calling him faster than it had left her mouth, I needed him yes, but i wasn't going to show him how desperate I was.

I start to work on my laptop, three clienteles had phoned the office seeking our services,they needed three identical houses,but in different sizes,they wanted a 6,4 and three bedroom duplex respectively with each having a pool and a huge backyard.

We had the houses but I loved to play the scarcity game, they have to feel like their money is worth my time and sweat.
I'm still engulfed in picking out the locations and the design of the houses to suit my clienteles needs, when Gojo and Catherine walk into my office.

Gojo was my ex boyfriend in highschool but we still stayed good friends even after the breakup.

He hasn't aged a bit since I last saw him 3 years ago at our highschool reunion in Las Vegas.

"Gojo!!!" I stand up from my desk to hug him the 6'4ft tall dark skinned man whose long hair was styled into beautiful cornrows, giving Catherine the opportunity to sit in my chair.

"Dolly you still look as beautiful as ever, except for your eye bags and swollen eyelids" he said taking my face in as I disengaged from the hug.

"Stressful week at the office" I lied with a smile. This is your first time in the office in like 2 months chica just tell him the truth" Catherine said spinning around in my chair.

"Tell me what?" Gojo said crossing his huge arms on his Chest,his arm veins popping out at this gesture.

"That um I've missed you why didn't you tell me you were coming into the state" i tried changing the subject.

"Pfft Winchester is held captive by a banging body Mistress"
Catherine said and i yelped both In pain and frustration.

"Always knew dude was a Stupid ass nigga"

"What are you going to do though? You must miss Mr Winchester junior am I right?" Catherine said and the room fell silent she gets the hint and spins the chair around backing use while saying "awkwarrrrrrd" as she turned.

"Im really glad you're back G" i said hugging him again

"Yeahhhhhh tours over, now I need me some Catherine and Dolly time" he chuckled I smile feeling his chest vibrate.

"I heart you" I say like a child.

"I heart you too, now tell me about this mistress bitch, maybe over waffles and hot coco?"

Gojo said earning a "yessssss I've missed you mi boy" from Catherine

"How do those kids keep up with you?" I asked and she giggles grabbing my purse and shutting off my laptop "the same way you've kept up with me since highschool bitch, now let's go mama needs some food" she says walking past me with my laptop and my bag causing Gojo to chuckle.

GOJO's POV:

Memories filled my mind as I hugged Dolly,her familiar scent filled up my nose transporting me back to highschool. Our laughter,our weird inside jokes,late conversations. Everything came rushing back.

So did the pain.

I could still see his face in my mind,his smug grin etched in my memory. He had been a new kid,the charming transfer student with a Rich daddy and all,who had swooped in and taken my Dolly away from me.

I remember the party, that night everything fell apart. Winchester's lips on Dolly's,her eyes wide open with surprise which turned into guilt as she saw me. My heart broke into a million pieces.
He did not even stay for the next semester, but they still stayed in touch even after we broke up until they got married.

I still had to stay friends with her,even after what happened,even after when she lost feelings for me and gained for Mr Winchester, she was a beauty I couldn't stay mad at her for long.

Years passed and I thought I had lost my feelings,until I saw her at the Reunion two years back. Now hearing of Winchester's new mistress evoked a new feeling causing a swirl of emotions in me. Something I hadn't felt in years, happiness, satisfaction crept in too.

Winchester's loss was his own doing,he never deserved Dolly anyways. As we walked out of the office, Catherine's loud chatter filled the air,but my mind wandered, Dolly's laughter,her beautiful smile still captivated me.

"Gojo are you okay" she asked, nudging me.

"Yeah,just lost in thought" I said moving hair from her face with my finger.

"Whatever thought you've got gotta wait though,I have this mean ass story to tell you" Catherine said and I chuckled.

I'm not lost Dolly my dear, I'm found, I'm just rediscovering feelings I thought were long long buried.

High school scars don't heal easily, but maybe Gojo's return is just what Dolly needs. Will she give him a second chance? Or will Winchester's mistakes forever damage their love?
