01: ACCUSATIONS

Flashbacks

Alice and her team are currently panicking because one of their members collapses in the ground causing everyone to pause from protesting. Hindi mawari ni Alicia kung paano ang gagawin dahil hindi naman nila inaasahan na mangyayare ito.

They rushed her to the hospital immediately but sadly she was announced dead on the spot by the doctor. Everyone is shocked, no one dared to speak as they all looked spacing out trying to process what had just happened to their members. Alice tears fell off her eyes and blamed herself. Kasalanan niya. Siya ang pangunahing rason kung bakit humantong sa masalimoot na kaganapan ang lahat. She convinced them to protest on the government dahil sa injustice and unequal treatment of her fellow LGBTQ.

Alice's members on the other hand, trying to find ways kung paano nila maisasalba ang mga sarili nila kung sakaling magkaaberyahan na.

"What should we do now?" A girl burst her thoughts out looking lost and desperate.

"Who will take the blame? Someone should save each of us. Hindi tayo pwedeng makulong lahat." The boy stated. As the bad idea pops in his mind but hesitant of what his members reaction might be.

"Let's blame it all to Alicia!" Another girl exclaimed, as if she read the mind of the boy.

"I agree! Hindi naman sana mangyayare 'to kung hindi niya tayo pinilit sa gusto niya." Dagdag pa ng isang babae.

"Tama, dahil siya naman ang pasimuno ng lahat, siya ang dapat sisihin! Ano nalang ipapaliwanag ko kay tita kapag nalaman niya ang nangyare kay Angel." The boy furiously added in the middle of his crying.

"Guys, We shouldn't jump into those kinds of thoughts. Hindi nating pwedeng ilaglag si President Alice. Kailangan nating maghanap ng mas maayos na solusyon dito" Cassy madly added and everyone went completely silent.

"Pareho lang kayo ni Alicia, palibhasa kasi kaibigan mo yon!" The girl shouted angrily to cassy's face. "Gawan niyo ng paraan to, ayaw naming makulong!" She added and left the room together with the team.

When they opened the door, they were shocked by the face of Alicia.  Kanina pa pala nakikinig si Alicia sa kanilang usapan. She just gave them blank stares that were also responded by her teams.

"I'm sorry, hindi ko inaasahan na mangyayare to. Kasalanan ko ang lahat, ako ang dapat sisihin at managot sa nangyareng ito. Huwag kayong mag-alala, hindi ko na kayo idadamay pa." Punong puno ng pagsisising pahayag ni Alicia na siyang ikinatahimik ng mga kasamahan niya. After saying that, Alicia turned her back at them dahil ang mga taksil niyang luha ay naguunahan na namang  nagkukumawala sa mga mata niya.

Risa pov

Kanina pa ako naubusan ng pasensya dahil dito sa babaeng ini-interrogate ko. Sino ba naman kasi ang hindi maiinis e puro nalang siya, "Your honor, it wasn't my intention." halos paulit-ulit niyang sinasabi yan. Rinding rindi na ako. Yung mga pahayag at litanya niya ay napakalayo sa mga ipinararatang sa kanya.

Ayon dito sa mga paper reports tungkol sa kanya ay dahil sa kanilang isinagawang pagpoprotesta laban sa gobyerno ay namatay ang isa sa kanilang miyembro. According to the statement of her members, she forced them to join her upang ipagtanggol ang isa nilang miyembro ng LGBTQ na  nakaranas ng hindi patas na panghuhusga sa gobyerno. At sa pagkakaalam ko, iyon ay si Guo Xeimen. According pa dito, she was also accused of human trafficking, fraudulent and fugitive dahil sa pagkakasangkot ng kaniyang pamilya but I'm not yet allow to announce it in public because we don't have enough of evidence to prove.

"So tell me Alicia Guo, what comes into your mind to think that you can find justice by just protesting against the government? e sa ginawa mong ito ay nakapatay ka pa" I calmly said but sure enough for her to know my point.

"Your honor, hindi po ako nakapatay. Aksidente po ang nangyare. Madam chair." Ang diin ng pagkakasabi niya, ramdam ko ang gigil sa bawat salita.

Naiinis na ako. Bat kasi ayaw nalang sabihin ang totoo. Haist pero at the same time, naawa ako sa kanya. Trinaydor at tinalikuran siya ng kasamahan niya at ang masakit pa ay isinisi pa sa kaniya ang lahat dagdag mo pa ang mga panibagong evidence na nagsasabing involved ang pangalan niya sa high-case issue.

"MADAM CHAIR!" napaiktad ako sa pabulong na sigaw nitong katabi ko. I look at her with my right eyebrow raised at alam niya na meaning nun.

"Kanina ka pa tulala kay Alicia ah, baka na love at first sight ka na sa babaeng yon" pinagsasabi nito?

"Hoy, Robredo!Fyi, babae yon at babae rin ako. Sinong baliw na senator ang magkakagusto sa kapwa niya babae at ang masama pa ay may kasong violation of human rights. Kilabutan ka nga!" Singhal ko sa kanya na animoy diring diri pa.

"Sus! pag yan kinain mo na naman, tatawanan talaga kita ng bonggang bongga." Natatawa niyang saad. Kinurot ko naman siya sa tagiliran dahil pati siya inuubos na rin pasenya ko.

Kung ano ano nalang talaga pinagiisip nitong si Leny, dagdagan pa nitong si Loren na sobrang lakas din ng amats kong asarin ako sa mga walang kwentang bagay.

Before i could turn myself into wild and aggressive senator, I ordered everyone na to settle down and announced to continue the hearing next week para makapag-gathered pa kaming mga senators ng maraming evidence to prove that  Alice Guo is guilty.

One last chance, I glance at the girl's way. I was caught off guard when I caught her staring at me with innocent and pleading eyes. Even though she's wearing glasses I could still see how she looks emotional in the moment and I don't understand what a sudden change of emotion i have felt inside me. Pity and Mercy.

Bakit ganun? Bakit sinasabi ng mga mata niya na wala talaga siyang alam? Bakit ako nakaramdam ng awa sa kanya? Hindi ba dapat heartless and fierce lang ako? Bakit ganito? Ano ito? Risa felt betrayed by her own feelings.

After i fixed myself and put my things aside. I decided to go to the bathroom to make some retouch 'cause I knew for sure, I look stressed and haggard na. My previous hearing wasn't as thrilling and stressful as today. I just don't know why I am so invested in that girl's background in life.

Honestly, when I first met Alicia Guo I didn't think of her to be involved with such big crime cases. She looks genuine and pure that if you look closely into her sparkling eyes, you could feel butterflies celebrating inside your stomach. Ironic isn't? What am I even thinking? The hell.

As i opened the bathroom door, my eyes widened of how close an inch between me and Alicia Guo. Muntik na akong ma-out of balance and thank gosh, I was caught by the hand of Ms. Alicia. It was far enough when I realized that, mas lalo pang lumapit mukha namin sa isa't isa!!!

We are about to kiss!!!
