Chapter four
Jessie's POV
It's been Two Months and three days here in Pitch's lair. Abbey was happy that we visited every once in awhile. She couldn't come because she was human. She is human. Pitch and I became pretty good friends. But is that the end of my story? No. There's a new threat and it wasn't Pitch Black. And dear reader my feelings for Pitch have erupted greatly. I felt eyes on me. I smirked and ignored him. I chuckled and Pitch glared with a feign hurt a expression.
" Hello my dear," he said and I blushed.
" Hey Pitch. What's up?" I asked.
He just stared at me. I shrugged then smiled.

Pitches POV
Her brown eyes twinkled with delight upon seeing me.
" Hello my dear," I said and I thought I sa- nope I did see a blush on her face. I had an entire urge to hold her but quickly shook those thoughts. I can't feel compassion. Because none of it was ever really shown to me.
" Hey Pitch. What's up?" she asked.
I stared at her and she shrugged. How cute. Wait what? No. No, I am the King of Nightmares. I'm not supposed to say that. Leave that to Cupid. Jessie smiled at me. She took my hand in hers.
" Pitch, I know you'll say no to this but tomorrow I want to see my brother. I haven't seen him since well the incident and I wanted to tell him that I am sorry," she said," and I'll come back to you as soon as I'm done. You can come if you want to. I'm not asking for mu-"
I cut off by frowning. I glared at her. She was going to leave me. I couldn't let that happen. I just walked away from her and heard a tear fall from her eyes. That's when I had an idea. I walked back over to her.
" Follow me. I have something to show you," I said and held her warm hand in my cold one.
I walked into a hollow chamber and led her to into my own room. I pulled out a small jewelry box. I smirked at it wondering if it was worth it. I pulled out a necklace chain and a sapphire ring. Stringing the ring onto the chain I walked into shadow.
Jessie frowned and looked around. I made sure I was still behind her. I came up behind her and put the necklace around her neck. She jumped at the sudden action.
" What is this?" she asked staring at the ring," It's very beautiful, but why give it to me? I don't deserve this."
I gave her a genuine smile. And she gave me an odd look.
" Jess, you do deserve this. Why? Well my dear you have shown me," I paused and listened to the air," he's here."
She looked at me and pulled herself closer to me. I didn't mind it one bit. Considering the little voice bugging me, I just shook it off and let myself hold her.
" Come on my dear. Let's go greet our guest," I said and she nodded.
We walked out of the room and yeah you guys guessed right it was none other than Jack Frost.

Jessie's POV
I smiled at my brother and ran to him. He gave a small smile back and hugged me.
" I'm sorry," I said over and over again.
Pitch was frowning.
" Well if it isn't old FrostBite," Pitch sneered.
I let go of my brother and I stared at Pitch. ' What's up with him?' I thought. I walked over to him.
" Pitch? Are you okay?" I asked.
He looked me in the eye and frowned.
"Yes," he sneered and looked back at Jack.
I frowned. ' Liar,' I thought but let the matter go. Pitch glared at Jack.
" Boys, relax," I warned.
Pitch and Jack stared at me. I frowned.
" Pitch I love your gift. I swear I do. Jack I'm sorry about what happened the other day but honestly you need to grow up. Something I did when you were gone," I said," I'm sorry Jack. I'm sorry Pitch for everything I did to you. I'm sorry I hurt you Pitch. I'm s-"
" Jess calm down. You didn't hurt me. Well I mean you did smack me, but you did nothing my dear," Pitch said.
" Jessica Frost, don't be sorry for something you didn't do anything wrong," Jack explained then he looked at Pitch," You better be good to her."
Pitch glared evilly but nodded. Jack left with out a glance back.
" You actually love the gift?" Pitch asked.
I nodded and smiled.
" Dance with me?" he asked.
My eyes widened. The King of Nightmares wants to dance with me. He looked at me waiting for my answer.
" I-I can't dance," I said looking down ashamed.
" Nonsense my dear. I'll teach you," he said smiling -which is odd- he took my hand and placed on his shoulder. He took his hand and placed it on my waist. Then his other held my free hand.
I blushed and stared into his gold eyes.
" There isn't any music though," I muttered still blushing.
" Just listen to it in your head," he explained and started to hum softly.
In minutes we were swaying back and forth. I smiled and rested my head on his chest. He chuckled and we danced some more. He looked down at me and that's when it happened. His lips met mine and I felt myself kissing him back. Me kissing the King Of Nightmares! My thoughts have finally decided to choose him. When he pulled away all to soon, I only wanted more.
" Well that was enticing my dear," he said with a grin.
I nodded smiling at him.
