— in a cold sweat, a toon named astro woke up from a horrific nightmare. He clenched his chest with one of his four hands, controlling his breathing. He then got up, his knees shakey as he grabbed his blanket and wrapped it around himself, hiding his four arms. The toon decided to head out of his room, heading towards sprout and cosmo's bakery, also known as the dining area for the toons.
— once he arrived, he used his magic ability to grab a cup and fill it up with water. He knew he wasn't supposed to be awake at this hour, due to dandy's strict rules, but he didn't care right now. He just wanted to calm down and get a cup of water. He looked at the digital clock on the counter, it read 2:07am.
— he then trudged back to his room where it wasn't so scary. The halls were quiet and dark, yet lucky for him the toon used his magic as a source of light. He clenched the blanket around himself, a shiver being sent down his spine as he felt some sort of shuffle around in the hallway his feet made small thumping sounds in.
— he sighed as he closed his bedroom door behind him, soon sitting down in the middle of his room on the soft carpet. He had the blanket now just rest on his shoulders, his four arms managing freely now. He gently hovered his hands over the ground, using his magic to check his fellow toons' dreams.
— the toon had his eyes closed, meaning he was focusing deeply on trying to not mess up and accidentally give a friend of his a nightmare. Only two toons that were having a nightmare was toodles and.. sprout? Usually sprout never has nightmares, yet oh well. Firstly, he checked on toodles' nightmare. It was just about her not ruling the world, or anything she didn't like. He decided to enter the child's dream as he began to search for her inside that realm. Once he found her, he knelt down and tapped her shoulder. As soon as she looked at him, he gently put a hand on toodles' head, now sending her to a better dream.
— once he did that, he was back into reality. The dream toon now checked up on sprout's dream. It was some sort of fire because of that one time he left the stove on while baking. He entered sprout's dream, softly landing onto the floor. "Sprouuuttt!" He called out. Astro then saw sprout, trembling as he stared at the fire. He walked over to the strawberry toon with a saddened and concerned face, taping him on the shoulder. "A-astro.? I'm sorry I didn't mean to-" the taller toon said, sniffling as he stared at him before he felt a tight embrace. "It's alright, now let's get some proper sleep." Astro said, now sending sprout into a better dream, the same way he did to toodles.
— now he was back in his room. he used his magic to float himself over to the beanbag nearby. His room was always quite the comfortable place as if it were child proof. The toon soon heard a knock on his door as he stood up, stretching and throwing the blanket back on. He then hesitated before opening the door, seeing sprout with a pillow in hand. "Can I sleep in your room for tonight? I can sleep on the floor if that's okay." He asked nervously, having a hand behind his head. "Don't worry, I'll let you sleep in my bed. It's no proper rest without being comfortable." Astro replied, smiling softly. "Ah.. okay..!" Sprout smiled back as he entered the room, clenching the pillow tightly while blushing a tad.
— The smaller toon sat on the bed, patting a spot next to him as sprout sat there. He then laid down once he felt the other toon lay down, still softly smiling. "Oh god oh god oh god..!" The strawberry toon continuously said in his head. "Pull yourself together sprout! You're only sleeping next to him, nothing else." He screamed in his mind before he saw astro sit up and take the blanket off, revealing his four arms. "Please don't tell anyone." Astro said before lying back down, their backs facing each other. "I won't, but why do you hide them?" Sprout asked, hugging his pillow. "I feel like they'd scare someone.." astro responded, frowning. "Well I think they're pretty." The taller toon remarked, turning over and now hugging astro from behind.
— "thank you.." was the last two words he heard from the smaller toon before falling asleep, no longer hugging the pillow but hugging astro.
