A few days later on a rainy Tuesday afternoon, Sienna had just gotten home for grocery shopping and running other errands.
Nothing in her life was particularly stimulating at the moment; in fact, she was bored with her current routine. It felt like all the days were the same–nothing ever changed. For about the last month, Sienna hadn't worked at all which was becoming a huge stressor.
On the phone with her mother, she was explaining this:
"I just feel stuck. The only reliable job I had was on Days of Our Lives like a few months ago."
"What does your agent, Samantha, think?" her mother asked.
Sienna hesitated, "At the time, she thought it was as good decision. She's been out of town for two weeks, though. She just got back in last night."
"Well, maybe you'll hear from her soon? I'm sure she's working to find something fitting for you! Don't lose your faith, ok?"
Sienna nodded to herself, "I hope you're right."
A moment later, now off the phone, Sienna hovered her body over her kitchen counter and sighed as if to attempt to let out her anxiety. She ran her fingers through her dark, wavy hair that was damp from the rain and decided to text her close-friend group chat:
Sienna>> Do you guys want to go out to dinner tonight?? I need a girls night😭🙏
Chloe>> PLS!!!🥳 Where were u thinking?
Damien>> Duh! ^^ idc I'm good for anything

Later that evening at exactly 7:45, everyone arrived at the restaurant. They were all fashionably late.
"So, what's the occasion?" Chloe asked Sienna.
"My life's a fucking mess, that's the occasion." Sienna answered as she too easily emptied the liquor in her glass, "It's on me tonight guys. I'm not broke yet."
Chloe and Mimi looked at her with concern.
"She didn't get a role," Damien chimed in to explain, "Her agent and I thought she had it, but things changed at the last minute."
"I'm so sorry, Sienna!" Chloe expressed.
"I'm sorry too. I know you've been working so hard too." Mimi added, "What can we do to help?"
"This is perfect! A night out with you guys, not worrying about work is more than enough."
"I know something that'll cheer you up!" Chloe enthused before pulling her phone out.
As she swiped through her phone, loud sounds began to emit from it. She was watching something on her screen. Mimi, who sat next to Chloe, looked over and began to giggle like a child.
"What are you guys looking at?"
"The cure to your depression!" Mimi cheered, "a new Hollywood heartthrob."
