One lazy afternoon, Shubman and Kamari found themselves lounging around the living room of their cozy home. The sunlight streamed in through the open windows, casting a warm golden glow across the space.
They had been so caught up in work, travelling, and the daily routines that they hadn't had much time to just relax together. The kind of days where nothing particular was on the agenda—no events, no meetings, no calls to make.
Kamari was flipping through a home décor magazine, as she had recently developed a mild obsession with redecorating.
"What do you think about painting one of the walls in the living room a different colour?" she asked, holding up the magazine with an example of a bold, mustard-yellow accent wall.
Shubman glanced at it, then looked back at her with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "You know what? Let's do it," he said with a shrug, clearly excited about the idea of doing something spontaneous.
Kamari raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk forming on her lips. "Wait, seriously? You're actually saying yes to this?"
Shubman grinned, his eyes twinkling. "Yeah, why not? We could turn this whole house into a canvas." He leaned back against the couch, stretching lazily.
"I'm in the mood for some chaos, anyway. Plus, I've always wanted to try painting."
Kamari burst out laughing. "You? Paint? You're gonna end up with more paint on you than on the walls, I just know it."
Shubman mock-pouted. "Hey, I'm more artistic than I look. You'll see."
Kamari shrugged dramatically, "Alright if you say so."
A few hours later, they found themselves at the local hardware store, standing in front of a vast array of paint cans. Kamari picked out the colour she had in mind—an earthy olive green—and
Shubman immediately grabbed a random shade of blue, declaring, "This one's definitely going on my wall."
Kamari laughed, realizing there was no point in trying to control his choices. She grabbed a few brushes, rollers, and drop cloths, and they headed home, ready for the impromptu painting session.
