Chapter 3
The past few weeks have went by incredibly slowly. Harry and his little gang had stopped their pestering and seemed to of been minding their own business. Logan never brought up what happened that first day at school, which was relieving. Mrs. Anderson finally lightened up on me realizing that I wasn’t that bad after all.
This Friday night there was also supposed to be some huge party, I was questioning whether to go or not. I wasn’t really the party type, but it was the first party of the year so why not?
I had also made a few friends these past few weeks. Besides Logan, I had met two girls named Ashley and Taylor. They both seemed really cool and they were both really welcoming. I thought maybe the four of us could all go to the party together.
In these past few weeks I also had made a few enemies. Besides Harry and his friends, I don’t really know what our situation is anymore, but lets just say I accidently pissed off a few girls in my homeroom.
They were a bunch of blonde bimbos anyways, I’m pretty sure their names were Jessica, Kate, and worst of all Vanessa. Since I was new to the school I had sat in Vanessas seat, not knowing it was hers, and when I didn’t move she threw a hissy fit. But hey, there were a bunch of other seats open, she could of sat in them, but apparently that wasn’t on her agenda.
After our little argument, later that day at lunch she “spilled” her food on me, completely humiliating me in front of the entire school. She also thought it was funny when she tripped me in gym class and pushed me into the football team.
Fun.
I tried not to let it get to me too badly though, hopefully their little shit pranks would come to an end soon.
I went through my morning routine, rid the school bus and finally got to school. As I was putting some of my books into my locker I heard someone clear their throat.
“What?” I asked as I turned around to face Harry.
“Hi.” He said peering down at me.
“Hi…” I said quietly, trying to avoid eye contact.
“So um, I wanted to apologize for what happened on your first day here.”
“Oh.” Was all I could come up with.
“Yeah.. I really am sorry, I was wondering if we could start over maybe? Only if you want to.. But I just feel really awful.” He said looking down at his feet.
“Yeah sure, I’d like that.” I said smiling slightly.
“Really?” He said smiling a bit. “Well in that case, do you want to go to that big party with me on Friday?” He asked.
“Sure.” I said, finally looking him in the eyes. Wow, I had to admit, he had really beautiful eyes.
“Can I have your number so I can text you the deats?” He asked.
I pulled a sharpie out of my backpack and wrote my number onto his arm. “There.” I laughed lightly.
“You know, just giving me your phone or a piece of paper would have been fine, but this works too.” He laughed.
“It was the first thing that came to my mind, okay?” I laughed.
“Interesting.” He chuckled. “Well since we have the same homeroom, can I walk you to class?”
“Okay.” I said closing my locker and started walking to homeroom.
“You know, you’re really short for your age.” He snickered.
“Hey shut up, you’re just freakishly tall.” I laughed, nudging him a bit.
“Nu uh.” He said nudging me back. “How old are you?”
“I’m seventeen, almost eighteen, you?” I responded.
“Eighteen, almost nineteen.”
“Why must everyone be so old!” I groaned.
“Why must you be so young?” He laughed.
“I’m not that young…” I whined.
“Yes you are!” He chuckled, running through the entrance to homeroom.
“Hey, no I’m not!” I laughed, chasing after him.
The room was strangely silent when the both of us came in laughing. I awkwardly took my seat next to Logan making no eye contact with anyone.
“Well you’re in a good mood.” Logan half laughed.
“I guess.”
“Since when are you and Harry all buddy buddy?” He asked.
“Since like five minutes ago.” I laughed.
“How’d that happen?
“I don’t know, he kind of just apologized and stuff.” I said.
“Oh.”

It was finally lunch, thank god. I took my usual seat next to Logan and across from Ashley and Taylor. We actually all got along with each other really well.
When I was in the middle of chewing my sandwich, someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around, looking at an unfamiliar face. “Who are you?” I questioned, furrowing my eyebrows.
“I’m Jake.” The boy said flipping his dark hair. “And you?” He said placing his hand on my cheek rubbing it slightly.
“Umm…” I said moving his hand uncomfortably. “Can you not?” I asked.
“Feisty.” He said stepping closer.
I placed my hands on his chest pushing him away. “Go bother someone else, kay?” I said rolling my eyes turning around back in my seat.
A few moments later, I felt hands on my waste pulling me out of my seat turning me around abruptly. “I asked you a question.” Jake said gripping onto my waste tightly.
“Get the fuck off.” I spat.
A second later, I was released. “Leave her alone.” Logan said, chest to chest with Jake.
“Watcha gonna do about it?” Jake mocked, pushing Logan back a bit.
“I said leave her alone.” Logan said in a serious tone.
“Aw is she your little bitch? Well I wouldn’t want a piece of shit like that anyways.” He laughed harshly.
Before I knew it, Logan swung at his face causing him to clutch his face and bend down in pain. “YOU LITTLE FUCKER!” Jake screamed, clutching onto his bleeding nose.
“Think about that the next time you mess with her.” Logan said, sitting back down in his seat next to me.
“Thank you…” I whispered in complete and utter shock.
