A dark haired woman drops her child off at daycare, saying goodbye with a hug.
The young child stands there, alone. Watching her mother walk away, too young to understand that her mother would return in a few hours to take her back home. The child stands there, sobbing violently, screaming for her mother. „Mama!" she cries. Her mother doesn't look back.
Another girl walks up to her, takes her hand and says, „I'm Anda, let's watch the sky together!"
The small girl doesn't react, but allows the older girl to lead her outside. The crying stops. „Look, this is a dinosaur!" Anda points at a cloud and giggles.

„Look Anda, there's a rainbow!" Lookkaew points to the sky, it has been raining for hours, but the sun decided to make a comeback and light up the sky. „I have never seen one before, it's so pretty!" Anda claims and Lookkaew nods in agreement. „This rainbow will bring us so much luck, tomorrow is my first day of school, I'm nervous." she explains. Anda squeezes the younger girls hand, „Don't be! we might not be in the same class, but I'll protect you regardless!" Lookkaew looks at Anda and smiles. „I know."
Even at a young age, both girls knew they could count on each other no matter what. Their friendship has been blossoming for years. Both girls saw each other every day and if for some reason, their parents had other plans which prevented them from seeing each other, one of them would throw a tantrum until their parents allowed them to see each other again.

„Lookkaew, I'm sooo bored!" the tall girl sighed in frustration. Anda was thirteen now, Lookkaews birthday was coming up. „Now we can't have that, can we?" Lookkaew raises her eyebrow suspiciously. „Lookkaewww..." Anda starts, using her puppy eyes and Lookkaew knew that whatever came next, she couldn't deny the pending request. „Can I sleep over tonight? We could have a movie night and watch the stars!"
Lookkaew smiles, who would say no to that sweet request. The girls were attached by the hips and there was no way their parents would disagree too.
„Sure thing. Let's tell our parents." Lookkaew says, still smiling.
The day went on and the hours flew by, the girls just finished watching a movie, but still felt restless and unable to sleep.
„Can we watch the stars outside?" Anda asks, hoping Lookkaew would agree.
Lookkaew didn't answer, but just intertwined her hand with Andas and led the older girl to the garden.
They laid down on the grass, it felt damp to the touch, but neither of them had an issue with that. They were next to each other, never once letting go of each other's hands. Lookkaews head resting on Andas shoulder.
Anda has become much taller in recent months, giving her an opportunity to tease Lookkaew for being short whenever she could.
„Can you stop walking so fast Anda.." Lookkaew pouts, „it's not my fault you got little legs!" Anda giggles, „with every step I take you have to take two.. maybe you should drink more milk and eat more vegetables!" she continued the teasing. „Andaaaaa....." Lookkaew stops in her tracks, crossing her arms. Anda continues to walk, but eventually notices, that something or rather someone was missing behind her. She turns around, seeing the young girl standing still. Anda smiles and walks back towards her. „Shall we go on now?" Anda asks. As stubborn as Lookkaew was, she shook her head. „No!" she pouts. „Pretty please?" Anda reaches out her hand, hoping Lookkaew would intertwine her hand with Andas. „You think I'm pretty?" Lookkaew's eyes widen. „The prettiest girl in the whole wide world!" Anda assures her.
