Audrey's POV:

"Baby, hurry up!"

"Coming!"

I rolled my eyes as I heard my step-mom calling me 'baby' as if I'm her daughter. I tied my shoes and rushed out of my room with my bag over my shoulder, rushing to catch the bus.

"Audrey, your lunch!" My step-mom called out.

"Thanks." I panted, taking the bag from her hands.

I heard her call out something about having a great day but I was too busy running out of my house. I got on the bus to see my best friend, Vicky, waiting for me at our usual seat. I sat down with a relieved sigh.

"Where have you been? I was waiting for...33 minutes now." She said, looking at her watch then pushing up her glasses.

"I know, I overslept. Sorry."

She rolled her eyes as the bus finally took off.

"Anyways, I've been waiting for you to finally revise last minute."

"Oh, yeah." I mentally facepalmed as I got out my notes from my backpack.

Time skip...

The bus finally came to a stop and we got off. As I helped Vicky out, I saw a black SUV park in the driveway behind the school building. I couldn't quite see who was inside.

"Gahhh!—" Vicky yelled as she fell to the ground.

I looked down and realized I had let go of her hand on the last step.

"Oh, sorry!" I apologized as I helped her up.

She dusted her clothes and pushed up her glasses again.

"You're holding my stuff."

"No!" I whined as she threw her bag at me. "Ugh, fine!"

I rolled my eyes and carried her bag on my other shoulder. As I was walking in the hallway I tripped over a pencil that was on the ground.

"Whose pencil is that?" I groaned as I saw a hand reach out to me from up.

I thought it was just Vicky until I heard.

"Need a little help?" A nonchalant male voice called out.

I looked up and saw a tall, skinny guy with ice blonde hair and bright blue ocean eyes he was also wearing brown glasses.

"Yeah, tha—" As I was about to grab his hand, my hair tie snapped.

I was so embarrassed, first I tripped over a pencil the size of my finger and drop everything, then my hairstyle is ruined in front of a hot guy. I decided to pretend that I don't think he's nice so I don't look stupid.

"No, get out of my way!" I rolled my eyes and pushed him away.

I definitely looked stupid.

"Okay," He smirked, seeming unbothered by my rude behavior.

He walked away carelessly while I just stood there embarrassed and ashamed. I looked around to notice that Vicky was gone. Did she go without me? But her stuff is it's me. Suddenly I was startled by a giggle coming from my left, I looked and saw Vicky giggling at me.

She definitely saw that.

"Stop it!" I whined, pouting.

"You definitely like that guy." She snickered as she took her bag.

I gasped dramatically.

"I do not! What? Who? He's ugly!" I but my lip as I realized what I just said out loud.

"Okay, okay," she said, pretending to listen.

"Hey!"

In class...

Mrs. Jane had collected the assignment when the door flew open to reveal the same guy I was in the hallway. My cheeks flushed in embarrassment as I accidentally made eye contact with him.

I tried to ignore him as I continued writing my notes. He sat next to me got out his notebook, pushing up his glasses. His blouse was slightly unbuttoned, revealing a glimpse of his chest and his sleeves were rolled up almost to his elbows, showing off his veiny, muscular arms.

Suddenly a felt a tap on my shoulder, and he passed me a note.
