𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 knew too much from the very start. both her knowledge and intelligence were something that put the entire experiment in risk. and as much as wicked wanted to send annabella into the glade— they could not. not until she gave them the answers they needed. and she knew better than to let wicked influence her and her discussions... that was what those around her told her.

annabella refused immediately. and this was probably the worst mistake she has ever done (yet— that is). she knew she was facing the consequences when her boyfriend disappeared without a single trace. and anna knew what had happened to him. he had been sent to the glade as a punishment for her lack of cooperation. he had too much hope in humanity, and it was rather adorably sickening.

the one thing that kept anna sane was gone. wicked had taken the only person annabella truly cared about away from her. and they left her completely alone, lost, broken and hopeless. annabella was furious beyond imagination. annabella begged them to bring her boyfriend back. but wicked refused. so, anna gave wicked an ultimatum: she replaces her boyfriend in the glade, and their secrets are not revealed. it seemed like a win-win for both parties.

wicked took her ultimatum into consideration for some time but ultimately dismissed annabella and her idea. and this made annabella twice as angry. she pretended to be unbothered by their discission but in reality, annabella was plotting against wicked and their evil intentions. and that was how she found herself in the glade with a bunch of hormonal teenage boys. three years after her ultimatum.

on the bright side— annabella would finally be reunited with her one true love. this was something worth the celebration, right? it was not... because annabella marie would have no memory of ever loving him nor 𝗵𝗶𝗺.

and neither did minho.
