Loki: Blood And Paper

Loki Laufeyson is at the library in the TVA, searching for a specific file which could potentially help him find the last of the Loki Variants.

It had been... roughly a long time, who knows in this ridiculous excuse of an organisation, since He who remains saved the sacred timeline and everything returned back to the quiet boring repetitive days of paperwork, find Variant, do NOT prune Variant, help Variant find a home away from the anchor being, repeat until the Variants are safe(yay!) However there was one last Variant left to find.

Loki keeps searching until he stumbles across the Variant's file, reading it through several times, his shinning turquoise eyes darting over the dusty pages. An eyebrow raised when he sees what's written. He then looks around to see if there's anyone around and then takes the file hiding it in his jacket pocket.

"What are you doing?"
Lucy was sat at a table nearby, she was "new" and quite young looking, probably only just twenty. Loki gets a bit startled for a second, having not noticed her sitting there in the shadows.

He quickly acts innocent "Me? Oh, I'm just browsing files. Just doing some research. And you are...?"He casually leans against the library shelf. Act NORMAL, you're not a model! He moves his arm.

"What's that?"Lucy points to the paper sticking out of his pocket. Loki tries to push it deeper into the pocket.

"Oh, that's ummm, just an old file that I have found which might be useful for a case that's all.... Why'd you ask?"

"But,what is it?" Lucy stands, still in the shadows.

"It's just some old case file, not really anything special..." He tries to act cool but Lucy can see the file says"Dangerous" and is therefore actually a bit more important than he initially claims.

"You said it could come in use, though?"Lucy's head tilts.

"Yeah I said that, but that was just so you wouldn't be suspicious of this file, it's actually something incredibly complicated I need for some research I'm doing. Far too complex for mortals, that's why they sent ME to do it." Loki stood up straight and straightened his jacket.

"Show me..."

"It's...... it's fine, it's just really confidential information and it absolutely cannot fall in the wrong hands. And you're mortal. You probably can't even read it...It's in Latin, well, Norse, hence why I-"

"Then I'll help"Lucy smiles.

He looks at Lucy,sceptical, and a bit annoyed at being interrupted."And why would you want to help me?"

"To stop others getting at it? To learn. As I'm new?"

Loki sighs still not quite believing her.He thinks for a bit and then carefully pulls out the crumpled file

"Fine I'll let you help, but you are not to tell anyone about this, understood?"

Lucy crosses her fingers behind her back. "I promise"

He is still not convinced, but decides he might as well show you. After all , Mobius would be proud of him teaching the new girl.

"Right, let's get to work then."
