Diavolo sighed softly as he rechecked his D.D.D only to see that Jace still had read his message but had yet to respond. He sent a sad sticker with another text that read 'Jace I said I was sorry! Please stop ignoring me!' before putting his phone down. The witch Maddi had been after him for a while despite Diavolo expressing that he was with someone else. He had finally managed to convince her to give up on trying to marry him so she would return to the human world and leave him alone. However, to his surprise she happened to come by the Devildom, supposedly to see RAD. But she clung to him the whole day and demanded that they go to dinner. Diavolo invited everyone out to dinner with them hoping to keep her from doing anything drastic since there were so many others. But when the witch was getting ready to leave she had pulled him into an unexpected kiss... right in front of Jace... Of course, to keep the peace Diavolo didn't do anything more than politely pull away and bid her farewell. Ever since then Jace had been giving him the cold shoulder and ignoring him. He had tried to explain to the other man why he did nothing about Maddi kissing him, but the other man wouldn't hear it.

To make things worse he and Jace's romantic relationship was still fairly new. They had only been together for almost six months, in fact the six-month mark was tomorrow. Diavolo had been trying desperately to apologize and convince Jace to forgive him. It was almost pathetic how easily the demon prince was willing to do anything just to have the other man's affection and attention again. But he didn't care, he loved Jace and was just as enamored with the other man as everyone else was. The fact that Jace had accepted his feelings despite turning down others made him feel like he was on top of all three realms. Now he was afraid he would lose his human all too soon over Maddi's damn stun. Diavolo checked his phone again and saw that Jace hadn't even looked at his messages this time. Then again it was late and the other man was probably sleeping, or at least that's what he was going to tell himself. He looked at the paperwork still on his desk and shook his head before putting it away. Diavolo couldn't focus on his work right now anyway and thought it would be better to go ahead and go to bed for the night.

Jace woke up the next morning to his alarm going off for him to get ready for RAD. As he tapped his phone he saw that Diavolo had texted him yet again last night. He huffed and dismissed the messages before getting up to get dressed. Sure, Jace knew that he was acting like some jealous teenager but he couldn't help it. How could Diavolo let that woman kiss him like that and say nothing to her?! While he was sitting right there?! It wasn't a chaste kiss either, the bitch was practically trying to shove her tongue down his throat before he had pulled away from her. Lucifer had already explained to Jace the situation between Maddi and Diavolo and why the prince did nothing. In fact Lucifer had been trying to convince Jace to forgive the demon prince since that happened a couple of nights ago. But Jace simply dismissed him as well. Usually he wasn't a jealous man, but Jace really liked Diavolo and when the other man passionately confessed his feelings Jace happily accepted them.

The past six months had been amazing until the other night. The fact that Diavolo said or did nothing about Maddi's inappropriate behavior hurt him a lot, regardless of his reasoning. Jace knew that Diavolo's position sometimes forced the other man to handle situations a certain way. But Jace firmly believed that he should have handled that situation differently and he was still upset about it. Jace sighed before getting dressed and heading to eat breakfast with the brothers. He had been avoiding Diavolo all weekend but he knew he wouldn't be able to at RAD. There was no doubt in his mind that Diavolo would find him and try to make Jace interact with him. It was inevitable and Jace knew that both Lucifer and Barbatos would also be on his case to make up with the prince. It was already shaping up to be a long day and it hadn't even started yet.

By the time it was lunchtime at RAD and Diavolo had yet to catch sight of Jace all day. He thought the other man had stayed home but Lucifer had assured him that Jace went to class. So where was he? Diavolo sighed softly as he leaned against the wall of the hallway and watched some of the students walk by. Just as he was about to go looking for his human again he saw Jace come into view upstairs as he walked through the hall. Diavolo's expression brightened considerably and he moved quickly to intercept the other man. He practically ran up the stairs taking them two at a time before catching up to him. "Jace!" Diavolo called out to him and reached out to grab the other man's hand in his. He stopped him gently and felt his heart sink when Jace turned and gave him an uncharacteristic cold look. His expression was blank and unreadable and Diavolo felt his stomach churn at the realization that Jace was definitely still mad at him despite having the weekend to cool off.
