"Now docking griffin rock port" I over heard from the intercom as I look out from the back of the ferry to see a dock to a small town as the boat gently rocks in the water before docking
"Come here Rylee where about to dock" my mom said calling me to get in the car so we would be ready to drive off once we where given permission to
"K coming" I said giving the island one last glance before heading to the car getting in the back seat where my big sister and brother where my dad sitting in the front with my mom
The car rocked a little when we docked and since we where the one closest to the back we where given to okay to get off first as the car slowly drives off the back of the ferry and onto the road as we drive to our new house I look out the window and look at he building and the school we would be attending in a few weeks
"Woah look at that" my big brother said pointing at a guy with a helicopter seat?
Looking down I saw a boy with blonde hair and a brown jacket he seemed to be about my age riding a bike but my sight was cut off by my mom turning the curb as we pull up to a house A few houses down to a fire house
"I'll go and unlock the door y'all unload the stuff"
My mom said as she goes to the door to unlock it
"You just don't wanna help"my big sister said to my mom
"Well yeah" my mom says as if it where the most obvious thing as she opens the door and walks in leaving me and my sibling and my dad to unload everything
Me and my siblings go to open the trunk and begin to take some boxes out and as I pick up a box of utensils
"Uh hello" I hear from behind me turning around I see the same boy who I saw riding his bike and behind him a man in a police officer clothes holding a container of cookies
"Hello can we help you" my dad ask as he comes back from taking a box of plates inside
"We just wanted to welcome you and your family to griffin rock and maybe help you unpack" the man in the police outfit says with his hand on who I presume was his kid
"Uh thanks and sure it would be nice to have a extra pair off hands" my dad says taking his offer cause the more hands the less time and he needed to find work soon as my dad and the officer talk with each other
"Uh hi I'm Cody Cody burns" the boy said holding his Hand out for a handshake
"Im Rylee Rylee Lopez" I say shaking his hand
