Royal love

Chapter 1

"Where did these boys go?" sighed Seokjin as he was walking around their home.

Yoongi and Hoseok had been playing in the garden. They hadn't heard their dad, Seokjin, called them. They were apart of the higher class of nobles in society as they came from generations of being the King's counselor.

Seokjin was a counselor but he had resigned recently due to his duty to his now motherless children. Though the royal family were found of Seokjin especially the king as he was not condemned by his action.

Yoongi was chasing Hoseok laughing when they suddenly heard weird noises. They stopped and saw that in the bushes there was something. Yoongi moved Hoseok behind him as he pulled out his knife. The boys slowly moved closer and were surprised as a young boy appeared.

They yelled as they ran away. Yoongi dropping his knife in the process. They ran till the bumped into their dad. They were trying to tell him of the boy as they tugged on his clothes and were speaking over each other. As they saw their dad didn't understand/react they pulled him along.

"I'm going. What's going on you boys so wor—"

Seokjin saw the boy. The boy was startled as he did not expect the two to bring someone bigger. The boy quickly grabbed the knife from the ground pointing it towards them. Yoongi and Hoseok stood behind Seokjin.

Seokjin knelt down and extended his hand out to the boy. The boy looked at Seokjin scared. Seokjin smiled as the boy handed him the knife.

"Are you hungry?"

The boy nodded.

"Well you are lucky that it's dinner time. Why don't you join us?"

The boy looked at them as Seokjin reached out to him. The boy grabbed Seokjin's hand.

"Seokjin-ajeossi? I'm home. Yoongi-hyung? Hoseok-hyung? Jung-"

"—Surprise!!!"

Namjoon was surprised as he was met with a party. Namjoon had returned from his studies and was greeted by friends and his family. Namjoon smiled as he greeted and thanked everyone.

As the party continued Namjoon was pulled aside by Jungkook. Jungkook was Seokjin's youngest. Jungkook was unexpected as Seokjin let loneliness get to him.

"I've missed you hyung. It's no fun when you're not here"

"I doubt that. You have the hyung's"

Jungkook shyly agreed as he hugged Namjoon. Namjoon thought Jungkook was too cute for his own good. Jungkook nuzzled his nose into Namjoon's neck which made Namjoon a little uncomfortable but he let Jungkook continue.

"You've been gone so long hyung that I was but a child when you left. I'm now a man"

"That's true Jungkook. You've grown up to be a man"

"...now that I'm a man hyung" Jungkook rose his face up to Namjoon.

Namjoon scanned Jungkook's eyes as Jungkook had a certain look. Though before Jungkook could continue Seokjin arrived. Namjoon pulled away from Jungkook as he hugged Seokjin.

"Seokjin-aejossi!"

Seokjin smacked Namjoon's head. Shocking Jungkook and leaving Namjoon quiet. Seokjin then laughed:

"What have I told you Namjoon-ah"

"To not address you as aejossi. Sorry Seokjin-hyung" smiled Namjoon.

"Come inside Namjoon-ah. Jungkookie! Do you think you can keep Namjoon-ah to yourself? Come inside as well because we have a big surprise"

Namjoon laughed as he followed Seokjin with Jungkook trudging behind them. Namjoon was then grabbed by Yoongi and Hoseok.

"Joon-ah we have a gift for you!" stated Hoseok.

"Some good news!" added Yoongi.

"What is it hyung's?" asked Namjoon.

"You know that we are serving under the royal family as loyal guards and how appa has been a loyal person to the king. Well—"

"—We got you a position at the palace!" cut off Hoseok as he couldn't let Yoongi talk any longer.

Yoongi smacked Hoseok's head but they were happy to see the surprised look on Namjoon's face.

"But...why? Hyung's you both know that I—"

"—If you say you are not capable then don't. Namjoon-ah you are the smartest person ever!" said Hoseok.

"You are Joon-ah. You are capable of many things. That is why you will be the one to continue educating the twin crown prince and his brother till the oldest is ready to reign" states Yoongi.

Everyone congratulated Namjoon as he was bombarded. Namjoon was too distracted that he didn't notice that Jungkook was disappointed from a far.
