Chapter 3

Namjoon found the prince in the garden. He was admiring the scenery.

"It's beautiful"

Taehyung looked over to his side to see Namjoon looking out to the open.

"It's my favorite place in the palace. The only place that I won't find my family at. No one likes the garden only the servants that care for it"

Taehyung began to talk to Namjoon about his favorite plants and how he loved to do artistic things in the garden.

"I would love to see you paint one day prince. Maybe a scenery?"

Taehyung blushed as he had noticed that he talked too much.

"I don't paint for others...but maybe one day"

"Why don't we sit out here next time prince?"

"Jimin would never agree"

"Just you and me. We could begin in the room then I could take more time with you out here"

Taehyung turned away from Namjoon but nodded his head. Namjoon smiled.

"Why don't we head back to the room and finish your writing?"

Jimin looked up from his writing to see Namjoon and Taehyung. He was surprised as he watched Taehyung sit down and continue. Namjoon smiled as he sat next to Jimin.

"Could I see your progress?"

"I've finished"

"Excellent, you did well"

"How did you do it?"

"Pardon?"

"How did you get my brat of a brother to return and finish his writing?"

"Prince Taehyung is an affable person. He is someone who understands he's duties, you just need to understand him as well. He is real charming. He would make a great ruler"

"What did you do?!" yelled Jimin as he slammed Taehyung to the wall in his room.

"What are you talking about?!" shouted back Taehyung as he pushed Jimin off of him.

"That scholar! It's his first day and you have him wrapped around your finger! What did you say?! Better yet...what did you give him in return?"

"...what are you insinuating?"

"Hahaha! Of course! My dumb useless little brother can't do nothing but offer himself to others! Just like you've always done you are a sl—"

Taehyung punched Jimin in the face. Jimin stumbled back as he looked at Taehyung with disbelief. Taehyung never fought Jimin back. Taehyung smiled as it felt good.

"Are you upset that I could actually have potential?"

"Shut up!"

"Well scholar Kim seems to think so! I like him. He will help me become better then you Jimin-ah"

Jimin frowned as Taehyung never spoke to him like that.

"That scholar is nothing but an idiot just like the rest. I give him about a week"

A month later...

"You are doing excellent prince Taehyung. Your calligraphy is the best I've ever seen"

"Thank you Kim-nim"

Jimin watched as Taehyung blushed as he received praise by their scholar. It peaked his interest.

"Kim-nim, what about me? Do I know do good? Is my calligraphy not as good to be praised?"

Namjoon quickly shook his head as he sat next to Jimin.

"Crown prince Jimin your writing excels all of Korea's scribes and best writers! Your brilliance is outstanding!" said Namjoon as he pat Jimin's head.

Jimin and Taehyung were both shocked by that action. Jimin turned bright red and had quietly whimpered as he did not expect the affectionate gesture or words. Taehyung grumbled as he looked back at his paper.

"Thank you Kim-nim" quietly responded Jimin as he couldn't look at Namjoon.

As Jimin continued his writing he kept stealing glances at Namjoon. Namjoon was only three years older than him yet he was teaching them. Now that Jimin looked at him Namjoon was handsome. Jimin watched as Namjoon read to Taehyung and Taehyung happily answered.

Had his brother noticed this? The way the sunlight hit Namjoon's skin and made the honey colored skin glow. The way his dragon liked eyes scanned the pages. The way his plush soft looking lip—

"Prince Jimin? Do you have a question?"

Jimin snapped out of it as he quickly shook his head and stood up.

"I'm done! I'll be heading out!"

Taehyung and Namjoon watched as Jimin left almost running.

"What's gotten into him?" asked Taehyung.

Jimin was walking through the palace lost in his thoughts when he ended up in the garden. It had been years since he had been there. Him and Taehyung used to play in the garden all the time when they were younger.

As Jimin walked through the garden he spotted his brother. There at the far end near the water was Taehyung painting. Though he wasn't alone. He saw Namjoon at the edge of the water kneeled down running his hand in the water.

"I cannot get over how lovely the garden is prince Taehyung! It's beautiful isn't it?!"

Jimin walked closer as he saw Taehyung painting the scenery but also Namjoon.

"It is" answered Taehyung as he looked at Namjoon.

"How long have you been sneaking away with scholar Kim-nim?"

Taehyung and Namjoon both were startled as Jimin walked to them.

"What are you doing here Jimin-hyung? You don't like the garden"

"It's not that I don't like the garden but I find no use of it"

"Well Kim-nim has been doing special teachings especially for me in the garden. You are not included"

"Why is that Kim-nim? Do you not find me interesting enough to teach? Does the king know of these teachings?"

"Crown prince Jimin, I did not mean to exclude you of anything. The king knows of these special times I spend with prince Taehyung. I want to help both of you out"

Jimin smirked as he was met with a flustered Namjoon. Jimin grabbed Namjoon's durumagi. Namjoon confused as Jimin pulled him to him.

"If so then I have a request~"
