You may know the story of the Salem Witch Trials, but would you believe me if I told you that it was not the full truth?

The humans feared what would happen if the truth of history were to be brought into reality, so they buried it. Covered it up so no one could know, and tried to eradicate all Witch-kind to cover their tracks.

But today, I plan to tell you that story, so you may know the truth that those in the 1600s feared so much. So that you may be ready for when the Lycans take their revenge on your puny humankind.

Long before any man or creature stepped foot on the earth, the Sun and the Moon watched over the land. While the Sun ruled it during the day, the Moon took over during the night. But, the two got lonely, never actually getting to see each other.

So the Sun crafted animals, some of two legs, some of four, and some with none at all.

The Moon was surprised to see them all resting in the glow of her light. She wanted some animals of her own, ones that would play with her when it was her time to rule, not sleep as if she wasn't there.

So, she created the wolf and the owl and the bat.

Seeing the Moon's creation, the Sun wanted to make something stronger and wiser than her. He picked up one of his animals and stretched it's bones, making it stand on two legs. He whispered into its brain the capacity for knowledge, wisdom, love, fear, good, and evil, and every other trait the sun could think of.

As the Sun set, he smiled at his creation. But in the last wink of his light, he was appalled to see that the man he had created was hunting the creations of the Moon.

Outraged at what she rose to see, the Moon granted her wolf and her owl and her bat the ability to be just like this man, but stronger, faster, and braver.

The wolf shook his head, not wanting to give up his fur coat and four legs to be just like this man. So the Moon granted him the power to return from his human body to his wolf body any time he pleased, and vice versa.

Seeing this, the owl too wanted more than just a human's body, hooting "I can fly, I can soar, the man can't do that." The Moon obliged, giving the owl the branches of his tree upon which to fly through the sky when in human form. She gave the owl a magic to control the nature around her.

The bat turned to the Moon, claiming to not want to change between forms, to not want magic, but instead, he wanted to continue in his solitude, even in a man's body. So the Moon granted it, giving the bat luxurious living spaces that one would never want to leave and a hunger for rest, rest that could last thousands of years if they wanted.

Thus, on that night, the Lycan, the Witch, and the Vampire was born.

When the Sun rose in the morning, he was displeased to see that the Lycan and the Witch had fought the man, injuring him, and the Vampire had tried to drink his blood.

The Sun turned and cursed the Lycan and the Witch, turning the two great powers against each other in a feud that would last as long as their time on earth. To the Vampire, the Sun cursed him with a burning so extreme, that he would not want to be in his body any longer, should he step out into the Sun. Soon, the attention was turned from the man the Sun had created and he was safe once more.

The Sun and the Moon had looked down on their earth together on the day of an eclipse and realized that all the modeling they were doing was not going to stop the problems on earth, as evil would never stop. They made a pact, to stop interfering with their creations and allowing them to live as they were then.
