As promised, a little bit of behind the scenes.
As you know, Scarlett handles machetes for protection. Sords are also mentioned in the story. This is because Werewolves can only be killed by blade. Guns don't do much to them. They hurt and all, but their healing abilities soon make up for it.
Coming back to Scarlett's machetes, if you know her at all, you'll know she names them. My instinct was to let her named then after some retro tv show characters, but my Spanish heritage came through, and they ended up being called Puri and Lola.
Now, Puri is short for Purificacion, which means purification.
Lola is short for Dolores, which means pain.
Yes, Scarlett's machetes are called Purification and Pain.
I thought it was appropriate ^_^
