Expectations cast a shadow long,
Hopes and dreams, where fears belong.
Reality's harsh, unwelcome light,
Shatters illusions, day and night.Expectations rise like morning sun,
Promising much, but never done.
Disappointment falls, like autumn rain,
Leaving scars, and heartache's stain.Expectations high, a fragile thread,
Breaks easily, in heart's dark shed.
Reality checks, with stern face,
Shatters dreams, in a lonely space.~rj[Sonal shaw]
