Part 1: Betrayal Written in Blood

As darkness fell over the city, Aras Yıldırım walked with his coat collar raised against the wind. The cold was cutting his face like a sharp knife, but that was not enough to stop him. His steps were hard and determined. The feeling of revenge that he had been accumulating for years would finally come into action today. Tonight, he would take the step that would change his destiny. The man who had been making him restless for years, who had been disturbing his sleep, who had been poisoning his every moment, Savaş Akıncı, would fall in his hands. But in order to reach Savaş, he had to go through another path: committing a crime and going to prison. Prison was the only place that would bring the two together.

The only person who knew what Aras was thinking was Emir Kara. There was no other way to proceed on this dark path with him. Emir was known in the underworld for his loyalty and sneaky intelligence. He was not the closest to Aras, but perhaps he was the right man for this job. Aras had started to trust him a while ago. Emir was a cold-blooded, planned person who did not leave any moves to chance. When he heard about Aras' revenge plan, it didn't take long for him to agree to help him. "You know this won't be easy," Emir said in his usual cold voice.Aras was waiting for Emir in a corner under a street light. There was an old building and a warehouse with broken windows in front of him. This was the starting point of their plan. Emir approached, almost invisible in the night. Every step he took was determined and silent."Are you ready?" Emir asked, blowing the smoke of his cigarette into the air. He was as relaxed as if he were talking about a daily routine.Aras took a deep breath. "We have no other way," he said with determination. The fire of revenge he had carried for years was burning in his eyes. There was not even the slightest hesitation left in him.Emir nodded. "Okay," he said, as if he had been waiting for this moment for a long time. "Our plan is simple, but you absolutely cannot afford to make mistakes, Aras. You need to seize the weapons and draw attention to yourself. You need to make enough noise for the police to notice you. But remember, there is no escape. You must be caught."Aras considered Emir's words once more in his mind. This plan was flawless. It was high risk but would definitely yield results. He examined himself once more, was there fear inside him? No. Fear had said goodbye to him the day he lost his family years ago."Tonight," Aras said, as if he were swearing to himself, "everything will start."Emir smiled slightly. "War is waiting for you in prison. When you enter there, your first goal will be to gain his trust. There is no one better than him. But remember, take every step knowingly. It is not easy to fool that man."Aras nodded as he listened to Emir's words. He already knew this. In the next step of the plan, he would not only risk himself but also his revenge. But he had to take this risk. With Emir's help, they completed the necessary preparations to infiltrate a warehouse known for arms smuggling. The critical phase of the plan began. Emir gave Aras all the details he needed to commit the crime: the security cameras would not be turned off on purpose, the warehouse workers would be seen to move quickly and then evidence would be left behind. Aras needed to draw attention. Running away was not an option for him. When they entered, everything was quiet. The weapons in the warehouse were arranged in neat boxes. Aras felt the adrenaline surge in his heart, but the expression on his face did not change at all. Emir, standing next to him, looked at him one last time. "This is it," he said in a low voice. "Now is your stage."Aras said nothing. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pocketknife he had with him. He left a mark on one of the boxes. Then he stopped at a point where he would be in the view of the cameras and picked up the weapon. The incident needed to draw attention. When he rang the weapon, the warehouse alarm went off loudly. Police sirens could soon be heard outside.Emir's voice was calm. "Okay, you're done," he said. "This is not the time to run away, Aras. Now is the time to get caught."Aras dropped the weapon on the ground without a moment's hesitation and waited for the police to enter the warehouse door. When the lights turned on him, he raised his arms in the air and surrendered. He could see the suspicion in the eyes of the police, but that didn't matter to him. This was just a step towards reaching his real goal. Going to prison wasn't a lost game for him, it was the most important step in his journey of revenge. As the prison doors closed, Aras squeezed his eyes shut. The sounds of the outside world suddenly stopped. Now he was inside, one step closer to Savaş Akıncı. But on this journey, greater dangers awaited him. The anger inside him wouldn't subside until he got his revenge.
