Euphoric Love

Chapter one

Today is the first day of summer and I am packing the last of my things so that I can stay with my grandma for the summer. I rush and don't even bother to be neat anymore and I just throw the last of my t shirts and shorts into my bag and make sure I have everything I need.

I grab my bags and stumble down the stairs and out the door and try as hard as possible to jog it to the car where my mom is in patiently waiting for me I toss my bags in the backseat and hop in.

"What took you so long!?" Oh idk mom maybe I took so long cause I was carrying 5 huge bags which I had to walk down stairs with I say, trying to sound as sarcastic as possible.

" Don't be a smart ass Kylie"

I sigh and ignore my mom I wasn't even in the mood to argue with her we had a long drive ahead of us and I was already in a bad mood.
I was mad at the fact that I've been waiting the whole school year for summer, just so me and my friends could make plans and go on late night adventures and do crazy things, you know make fun memories together instead I'm spending the summer with my grandma.

You see It's just me and my mom and it's always been just me and my mom she's a nurse but she recently got a higher paying position at a different hospital out of town where she will be staying at for the summer and I being a 17 year old my mom does not think I'm capable of staying by myself no matter how much times I have begged her and tried to convince her.

which brings us back to the reason why I have to stay with my grandma for the summer.

We have now been driving for two hours and the sun has gone down already we still have 3 more hours until we arrive in the small town of maysville I pop in my earphones and decide to sleep the rest of the way.

"Kylie Hello? wake up" 5 more minutes mom! "come on Kylie we are ready here"
I groan and decide to open my eyes I sit up And look around and we are now in front of my grandmas house it's been years since I've last been here and it still looks just the way I remember it.

My mom helps me get my bags out and we walk up to the porch I sit my bags down and ring the door bell I turn around and look at the view. My grandma lives in a lake house and of course we have a view of the lake right infront of us it can look kind of creepy at night but in the day time it's quite breathtaking.

I'm inturpted by my thoughts when I hear the door open "come on In" I hear my grandma say,
I turn around grab my bags and greet her with a hug and my mom does the same.

"hey Kylie why don't you go upstairs and un pack while me and grandma talk?"

sure mom why not? i see my mom give me one of her death glares and I stifle a laugh and rush up stairs before she can say anything else.

I find it funny when she gets mad at my sarcasm I can't help it, really I don't even mean to be sarcastic sometimes it just happens.

I carry all my bags upstairs and start unpacking. It has now been almost an hour and I am almost done settling in. I decide to finish unpacking the rest in the morning.

I walk up to one of the windows and open the curtain. The thing I have always loved about my room at my grandmas was that I had the perfect view of the lake, I stared outside the window and at the lake. The moon was shinning on the lake making it look almost magical, it really was a pretty sight.

I crack the window open so some fresh air can come in I felt my self relax once I felt the cool wind come in. It felt so refreshing.
I Walk away from the window and walk to my drawers that have a few clothes in them already I start to strip down until I'm in my bra and underwear. I can not sleep with a bra on and I don't get how anyone can its just so uncomfortable so I remove my bra and toss it on the floor I grab a oversized T shit and slip it on.

I walk over to my other window that faces some woods I stare out admiring the tall green trees that are littered around my house.
I'm pulled out of my daze when I see a faint light coming from the other side of the woods.

The last time I had came to visit my grandma I had walked through the woods out of curiosity of what might be on the other side of the woods and it led me to an abandoned house maybe someone had moved in now.

I make my way downstairs and see my mom on the phone while my grandma is in the kitchen making her self some tea i cut in right when she's about to pour her self some.

Hey grandma I was wandering did someone move into the house on the other side of the woods?

"Oh yes dear a very nice man and his wife have been living there for almost 2 years already"

oh ok I was just wondering cause I remember the place had been abandoned.

yeah it sure was the man and his wife did a lot of renovations and wow, did they really flip that house it looks so beautiful now!" Well that's good I say,

Hmm now that I think of it dear they have a son and I think he's about your age maybe you can go sometime and introduce your self to them" before I have a chance to say anything my mom walks into the kitchen

" that was the hospital they need me to be there early in the morning so I should probably be leaving now, have a fun summer with grandma and call me if you need anything Kylie"

I walk her to the door and give her a hug and kiss before I say bye i watch her from the porch until she drives off I step back inside. My grandma is now getting up from the table and putting her mug in the sink.

" I don't know about you but I'm so ready for bed" I look at my grandma and laugh at her sleepy expression she looks like she is practically sleep walking.

well that makes both of us goodnight grandma,

I know I know this chapter was probably so boring I'm just trying to get the story settled in but don't worry things will get pretty exciting so if you just bare with me and get through a couple of plain boring chapters I promise to make it worth the wait ;)
