Five months. That's how long Alan had been taking care of the twins, Ayan and Ray, and although he was getting better at managing things, it was still tough. Between his long hours at the bank and looking after two energetic toddlers, Alan was exhausted. But there was one thing that made it a bit easier: the twins' attachment to their daycare assistant, Gaipa.

Alan hadn't met Gaipa yet, but from the way Ayan and Ray talked about him, he knew the man had made a huge impact. Alan learned from Ayan that Gaipa had taught Ray not to fight about shower time, and Ayan to let Alan help him without acting too grown-up. It was almost like Gaipa was a second guardian, even though Alan had never seen him in person.

This morning, however, Alan's thoughts were far from daycare. It was the weekend, and he had completely forgotten to do the grocery shopping the night before. Now, he had no choice but to take the twins with him. Getting them ready was its usual battle, but once Alan pulled out their matching bear outfits, the twins' excitement made things easier.

"We be bears!" Ray squealed, wiggling into his little bear hoodie.

"Big, fwoofy bears," Ayan said, his voice soft but excited, already imagining their adventure.

Alan grinned, seeing them transform into little teddy bears. "Alright, let's go, my little bears."

The supermarket was bustling with people, but Alan couldn't help but notice the smiles and coos from other shoppers as the twins walked beside him, looking like the cutest teddy bears ever. Alan had just started grabbing fruit when Ray's eyes locked onto something far more exciting-the candy aisle.

Without a word, Ray darted off toward the shelves filled with sweets, his tiny legs moving as fast as they could. Ayan, ever the responsible brother, quickly followed, but in the rush, neither of them remembered to tell their uncle.

Alan, distracted by his shopping list, glanced down after a few moments and froze. The twins were gone.

Panic surged through him as he scanned the aisle. "Ayan? Ray?" His voice cracked, heart hammering as he hurried down the aisles, asking anyone he saw, "Did you see two kids dressed like little bears?"

On the other side of the store, Gaipa was finishing up his own grocery run. He'd wandered into the candy aisle to grab some sweets-both for himself and the kids at daycare-when he spotted two little bears crouched down near the shelves. One was sniffling, clearly upset.

Gaipa's eyes widened. "Wait... are those...?" He stepped closer, and when the little bear looked up, his heart melted. "Ayan?"

"Gaipa!" Ayan's face lit up, and he ran to hug Gaipa's leg.

Ray, who had been rubbing his eyes, looked up as well. "Gaipa!" His tears stopped the moment he recognized his favorite teacher.

Gaipa knelt down, worry creasing his face. "Ayan? Ray? What are you two doin' here all alone?"

Ayan squeezed Gaipa's leg and looked up at him. "Ray wants candiez... I followed 'im, but we... we forgots to tell Unkie Alan."

Ray sniffled and quickly added, "I sowwy, Gaipa... I no wants to be naughty."

Gaipa's heart softened. He could see the fear in their little eyes. "It's okay, little bears. I know you didn't mean to. But it's important to always stay with your uncle, okay? There's lots of bad people in the world, and we don't want anything to happen to you. Your uncle would be so sad... and so would I."

Ray's lower lip trembled as tears welled up again. "I sowwy... no want Unkie Alan sad."

Ayan looked down at the floor, his small voice barely a whisper. "I shoulda stops Ray. We gonna be good now, Gaipa."
