Amayra and Shaina were the kind of friends who didn't need anyone else. Both introverts, they struggled with social anxiety, making even simple tasks like ordering coffee feel like a heroic feat. Most of their time was spent indoors, where the outside world couldn't reach them. Their love lives? Nonexistent. Friends? Just each other. With their semester break in full swing, they found themselves in a familiar state-bored out of their minds.

One evening, as they lounged around Shaina's room, scrolling aimlessly on their phones, Amayra had a lightbulb moment.

"Hey, what if we wrote a Saath Nibhaana Saathiya fanfiction? Like, on Wattpad?"

Shaina perked up, her interest piqued. "Gopi and Ahem fanfiction? I'm in. It's not like we've got anything better to do anyway."

And just like that, they had a plan. Their dull break would soon be filled with drama, romance, and epic plot twists, thanks to the Modi family. Or so they thought.

A few days later, they headed to a café to brainstorm. As they crossed the street, they spotted a couple on the opposite side, laughing and holding hands. The sight sent a pang through both of them.

"Our lives are so boring," Amayra grumbled. "No love, no excitement. Just us, sitting around all day."

"Right?" Shaina sighed. "Where's our romance? Where's our twist?"

As if the universe heard their plea, something did happen-though not in the way they expected. While crossing the street, a bus came hurtling toward them. They saw the headlights, heard the brakes screeching, and then-darkness.

When Amayra opened her eyes, she was greeted by the sight of Ahemji standing over her, his face a mix of frustration and impatience. "Where is my green tea? Why are you still asleep? I asked for my green tea! I'm getting late for work. Why are you just lying there?"

Amayra blinked, utterly confused. Am I dreaming? Am I dead? she thought, her head spinning as she slowly got out of bed, staring at Ahemji like he was part of some bizarre hallucination. Ahemji raised an eyebrow, clearly annoyed. "Why are you looking at me like that? Where is my damn green tea?!"

Amayra was frozen, her mind racing with questions. Why am I here? she wondered, though no words came out of her mouth. It was only when she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror that reality-or whatever this was-hit her like a truck. Staring back at her was not Amayra, but Gopi. She screamed, her voice piercing through the air as family members rushed into the room, alarmed.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Modi house, Shaina was having a similar shock. When she opened her eyes, she found a man-Jigar-lying beside her. She bolted upright, her heart pounding, defensive instincts kicking in. Why is there a man in my room?! she thought, looking around in panic. But as her eyes darted around, she realized something was off. This wasn't her room. Nothing about it was familiar.

Her gaze finally landed on a mirror, and what she saw made her blood run cold. She wasn't Shaina anymore. She was... Rashi. Like Amayra, Shaina screamed, terror and confusion flooding her as she tried to make sense of this new, bizarre reality.

Both friends screamed at the same time, though they were on opposite sides of the house, their voices echoing through the Modi mansion.
