Jedediah Hayes Home
Shepard drives along the gravel path driveway with a standard police car following behind him. They park at the end of the path, blocking it to prevent a potential escape. As Shepard exits his vehicle, he looks to the Uniformed officer and tells him to check the back side of the property. Shepard makes his way towards the front door, just as he is about to knock he hears a noise coming from the shed. Noticing this sound he walks back down the steps and around the left side of the trailer. The shed is positioned next to the trailer which sits horizontally in the center of the open field in which Jedediah's property is located. Next to his trailer home, there is a large shed that is positioned slightly further back from the home in front of the shed and next to the trailer, there is a fire pit hole with brinks surrounding it.
Further left from that there is a homemade car cover roof sitting on six slates. Jedediah's truck is parked halfway under the roof, the other half of the area under the roof was filled with random scrap metal, wood, copper pipes, tools, beer cans, and countless other junk that spread from that area to the fire pit and along varying paths including around his house to the shed and the far right side of his trailer where there was a broken down car propped up on slabs tireless and covered in rust. It was a sedan that and countless pine needles covering the top of it. They were all withered and brown seeming to have been there for quite some time.
Shepard continued toward the shed stepping around the trail of junk. As he got to the door of the shed, he looked to his right and saw the uniformed officer approaching from behind the trailer. The officer noticed Shepard's hand on his firearm so he two rested his hand on his pistol at his hip. Shepard knocked on the shed door.
"HFPD, Jedediah Hayes are you in there?" Shepard
A clinking sound and thud occurred on the other side of the door, followed by a scuffle of footsteps and a clanking.
"Oh hell, yeah one second" More clanking and thumping noises occurred, and the door opened. Shepard peered into the room behind Hayes when the door opened and there were many different piles of more junk, lots of wood and scrap metal.
"What can I do for ya officer?" Hayes
"Jedediah Hayes, I need you to come with me to the station where you are being detained for questioning in the murder of Ashley Abernathy." Shepard said as he put a hand on Jed's shoulder and pulled out his cuffs. "I need you to turn around."
"What the hell you talking about, I don't know no Ashley." Hayes
Just then the front door of the trailer opened, and Mrs. Hayes appeared rushing out of it with her hair frizzling cigarette hanging out of her mouth, and a dirty pink silk robe with white floral lining around the seams of the robe. She wore slippers that were also pink and said Boss on one and Bitch on the other. Her small white tank top peeked through her robe that was untied, across the chest it read I'm with stupid which had an arrow pointing to the right. She had matching silk pink pants.
"What the hell y'all think you're doing?" Mrs. HayesThe uniformed officer approached her "Ma'am we just need to bring him for question he is being detained."
"Oh fuck, baby, don't tell them nothing, Fucking pigs are always in our business. First, y'all revoke our stamps, and now this shit? I got kids to feed." Mrs. Hayes
"Baby I ain't do nothing I'll be back soon." JedShepard cuffed Mr. Hayes and walked him back to the car, placing him in the back seat. Driving him back to the station. Jedediah sat in the integration room as Shepard said on the other side of the two-way mirror peering through his notes and preparing to question him. The door to the viewing room opened. Sheriff Jennings stepped into the room.
