Lacy opened her eyes. The only thing she was thinking about was water. She was staring at the puddle on the floor. If she was not tied, she certainly would have drank it. When she heard steps that sounded closer and closer, she closed her eyes, pretending to sleep. As the door opened her heart beat faster.

"Do not pretend to sleep I am not stupid." A woman said.

Lacy frowned. Who was she ?

The woman put the Lacy's chair on its four legs.

"Thank you." Lacy whispered.

"Well. I do not understand why James had not killed you yet. You look horrrible."

Of course she was compared to her.

That woman was heinous.

"Your name is Lacy right ? How old are you ?"

"I need water."

"I forgot how humans were fragile."

She left the room, and a few seconds later came back with a bottle of water. Lacy's eyes became brighter and her thirst got even more important.

"If you answer to my questions I will help you to drink."

Lacy nodded.

"As I asked you sooner, how old are you ?"

"I'm twenty one."

The woman looked annoyed.

"You are not really talkative."

"I answered."

The woman brought the bottle to her lips. The contact of the cold water with her throat was delightful. She would have drank all if the woman had not remove the bottle from her lips. That was not fair, she wanted more.

"So what did you do in life ?"

The past tense she used broke Lacy's heart. It reminded her that never she would leave that place. Not alive.

"I'm a student. I was traveling during my holidays until the day I came in that damned hotel."

"You decided to come from your own will."

"And I regret it."

The woman let her drink again.

"Who are your parents ?" She enquired.

Lacy did not answer.

"Oh come on, I'm pretty sure you're not an orphan child but a mama's girl." She laughed.

"Why do you want to know that ?"

She became serious again.

"When did I tell you that you could ask questions ?"

Lacy kept silent.

"Well. Now tell me, who are your parents ?"

No answer again. The woman caught Lacy's hair.

"I am not James, if you don't answer I will kill you."

"Then kill me."

The woman let the bottle on a table, and then put a blade on her neck. What was their problem with blades ?

But suddenly the door opened again.

"Ah, miss Evers. You finally met Lacy."

That miss Evers removed the knife from her neck.

"Yes mister March. I am sorry but she is really irritating."

Lacy noticed the change in her voice, it sounded more feminine.

"I know."

"Why don't you kill her right now, in front of my eyes ?"

For a mysterious reason, Miss Evers desesperately wanted her to die.

"Be patient miss Evers. Now you should clean my room, I caused some damages to a poor girl."

Lacy's eyes went biger.

"Yes Mr March."

When Miss Evers left the room, Lacy did not feel release. She was alone with the Psychopath. He came near her with the bottle of water.

"Drink that darling."

Mr March seemed to forgot one detail.

"How ? I'm tied to that chair." She told him.

He smiled at her as if nothing happened between them.

"If I untie you, promise me you won't run away."

Lacy did not want to promise anything.

"As you wish."

James turned back and walked to the door.

"Wait ! I promise I won't run away !" She exclaimed.

If she stayed on that chair any longer a pressure sore would appear. When he untied her, she stood up. Never she had felt that weak. She took the bottle from a shaking hand. James noticed how tired she was.

Lacy drank all in a few seconds. Her lips that were pale seemed to turn pink again.

"Why don't you kill me ?"

"I will kill you the day you'll expected the less."

Her eyes went misty. How a person could be that cruel.

"I am not a rat you can keep in cage."

She folded her arms.

"Of course you are."

James went to the door again.

"Some people will looking for me."

"Oh really ?"

He did not seem worry at all.

"Yes."

He laughed.

"Darling. You'll be dead before they cross the threshold of this hotel."

With those last words he locked the door behind him.

Lacy hit the door angrily.

"Asshole let me go !"

Tears rolled down again.

"Please let me go !" Her voice broke.

She let herself falling down. The floor was cold but not as much as James' heart.
