I stood at the floor-to-ceiling windows of my office, gazing out at the Mumbai skyline. The city was alive, pulsing with energy. My business, Singh Jewellers, was a testament to that energy.

"Sir, your new intern is here," my assistant, Rohan, announced.

I turned, my eyes narrowing. "Send her in."

Rohan nodded and disappeared.

A moment later, a young woman entered my office. Her bright smile and sparkling eyes were a stark contrast to the dull, gray day outside.

"Good morning, sir," she said, her voice confident.

I raised an eyebrow. "Morning."

Shweta Bharadwaj, according to her resume. MBA student, top of her class. I had agreed to mentor her, despite my reservations.

"Take a seat," I instructed, gesturing to the chair opposite my desk.

She sat, her eyes scanning the room. "Your office is impressive, sir."

"I'm glad you think so," I replied dryly.

As I reviewed her resume, Shweta's gaze drifted around the room. She paused at the photo of my family on my desk.

"Your family, sir?" she asked.

I nodded curtly. "Yes."

The silence that followed was awkward. I didn't encourage small talk.

"Let's get down to business," I said, handing her a folder. "Your tasks for the next few weeks."

Shweta's eyes widened as she scanned the pages. "This is quite a lot, sir."

"I expect results," I said, my tone firm.

She looked up, a spark of determination in her eyes. "I won't disappoint you, sir."

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite myself.

"We'll see about that," I said, dismissing her.

As Shweta left, I couldn't shake off the feeling that this internship would be... interesting.

*Adarsh's Thoughts*

Why did I agree to this internship? I don't have time for hand-holding. But there's something about Shweta... Her confidence, perhaps. Or that spark in her eyes.

No, I mustn't get distracted. Focus on the business. Keep emotions out of it.

But as I returned to my work, I couldn't help but wonder: What secrets lay beneath Shweta's bright smile

I stood outside Adarsh Pratap Singh's office, fidgeting with my resume. Singh Jewellers' CEO was notorious for being ruthless.

"Shweta Bharadwaj?" a soft voice called.

I turned to see a pleasant-faced assistant.

"Yes, that's me."

"Rohan, sir's assistant. Please, follow me."

As I entered Adarsh's office, my eyes widened. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcased Mumbai's breathtaking skyline.

Adarsh stood with his back to me, radiating authority.

"Good morning, sir," I said confidently.

He turned, piercing eyes scrutinizing me.

"Morning."

His deep voice sent shivers down my spine.

"Take a seat."

I sat, trying to compose myself.

"Your resume impresses me, Shweta," Adarsh said, his expression unreadable.

"Thank you, sir."

"I expect exceptional work. Prove yourself."

Handing me a folder, he dismissed me.

As I left, I felt both determined and intimidated.

What just happened?

Outside, Rohan smiled warmly.

"Don't worry, Shweta. You'll do great."

"Thanks, Rohan."

I took a deep breath and began my journey into the lion's den.

Unaware of the challenges ahead.

Unaware of Adarsh's hidden depths.

Unaware of the secrets that would change everything.

Shweta's Thoughts

Why does Adarsh intimidate me? I've faced tougher challenges.

But those piercing eyes...

Focus, Shweta!

Prove yourself.
