Chapter 3: Scarlet Night

Max POV

It's been about a good few days of school and life, making me see that the events of the anime will start soon for the matter. I was prepared for the events thanks to my time from the Instant Dungeon and all of that, having me getting my skills and weapon ready. Kakeru and Yuka will have the first experience for the Scarlet night, so I need to be ready for that moment. 'Status'

I have some pretty good stats and I want to used the SP for most of my skills, both active and passive. I began to spent about 15 points into Sword Mastery and 20 onto Fire Magic to make it stronger.

Sword-mastery has leveled up to LVL. 5. Skills learned; Draw Slash, Rushing Slashes.
Fire Magic has leveled up to LVL. 5. Skills learned; Flame Blade, Scorching Wave.

With that, my offensive skills had significantly improved. School was the usual, but I've been receiving good grades recently. I was with Kakeru and Yuka, escorting the girl back to her home. On our way, we found ourselves at a rather familiar bridge in town.

'Wait a second.....this bridge is......OH F**K!!' I thought about it and realized that this was the bridge where Kakeru and Yuka enter the Scarlet Night, meaning it could happen at any moment from now. As this was going to happen, I began to equip my Black Cleaver weapon and prepare for the absolute worse. Thankfully, equipping a weapon doesn't necessarily show it to everyone, so it was kept safe from the public eye.

Kakeru: ".....Glad things were peaceful at the day...."

Yuka: "Yeah, I know. It's days like these that makes us feel at peace.....I just wish this lasts a bit longer."

"....YUKA! WHY DID YOU SAY THAT!?!?" I exclaimed out loud by this while both of them looked at me with confusion.

Yuka: "....Because....I meant it in a sincere way....? Is something wrong...?" She said as she was more confused by this.

"Yuka! Bad shit ALWAYS HAPPEN when people say that line. Have you not know some of the dangers when you say that!?"

Yuka: "Okay, stay calm. I truly meant what I said and all, and nothing bad happen yet. I'm sure everything is going to be find."

Just before she could say that, a big ringing noise shot up in the whole place and both Kakeru and Yuka were screaming out of pain. I wasn't in pain due to me having no fragment and being a player is all. Yuka and Kakeru are the only ones in pain.

"......So you were saying...?"

Kakeru: "Guuah....n-not the t-time to be an Ass.....Max."

Soon after, the area became an inverse color and the ringing sound was going louder and louder with each passing minute. That was when a notification popped up in front of me for some reason.

Warning: Player is being dragged into an altered dimension. Player will not escape this dimension due to time lock and conditions.

'Makes sense with the Scarlet Night being a place that can drag fragments to this dimension.' I thought as much and then a cracking sound was heard, meaning that we had arrived from it.

The area looked as if it had seen better days and the area had a red hue all around. This made a scene where everyone around here is not and desolate. It was like the Instant Dungeon I went into.....but not at the same time. However, i could feel about a few enemies around and in the city. Just as I was about to further investigate my surroundings, Kakeru and Yuka got up and saw for themselves.
