Chapter Ten

Leo and Lila stepped out of the car and onto the pavement that led to the competition venue. They looked up at the towering building, taking in the grandeur of it all. The hustle and bustle around them made Leo's heart race with excitement and nerves.

"Can you believe we're here?" Lila asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Leo turned to face her, his gaze intense yet soft. "I can't believe how far we've come together."

Lila smiled, her eyes shining with pride. "We've overcome so much, Leo. And now, we have a chance to prove ourselves on this stage."

Leo took a deep breath, closing his eyes for a moment as he reflected on their journey. He remembered the long hours of practice, the moments of doubt and frustration, and the countless obstacles they had faced along the way. But through it all, they had grown stronger as a couple.

"Remember when we first started dancing together?" Leo said, opening his eyes to look at Lila again. "We were so awkward and uncoordinated."

"Speak for yourself," Lila teased, nudging him playfully.

Leo chuckled, the sound echoing in the busy street. "But seriously, we've come so far. And I couldn't have done it without you."

Lila's expression softened, and she leaned in to kiss him gently on the lips. "We've always been a team, Leo. And no matter what happens today, we'll always have each other."

They walked towards the entrance of the venue, their steps steady and determined. As they entered the lobby, the noise level rose, with people milling about, chatting, and laughing. Leo felt a knot form in his stomach, but he pushed it aside, focusing on the task at hand.

"Let's do this," he said, looking at Lila with a determined glint in his eye.

"Let's show them what we're made of," Lila replied, a fierce determination evident in her own gaze.

They walked towards the ballroom, ready to give it their all and leave everything on the dance floor.
