The door to Quinn's room swung open with a sudden, violent force. Her bloody body was hurled into the living room, crashing through the air like a ragdoll. Everyone's eyes widened in shock, and Richie let out a horrified scream as he recognized his sister.

"Quinn!" Amber gasped, her voice cracking in disbelief as she watched her best friend's lifeless body hit the floor.

The force of the impact knocked Quinn's body into Anika, slamming her back onto the couch. Anika's scream was deafening, filled with pure terror, as she struggled beneath the dead weight pinning her down.

"Come on!" Chad shouted, his voice sharp with urgency. He grabbed Tara's hand, who instinctively reached for Amber. But Amber ducked, rushing to Anika instead. Tara quickly shifted, grabbing Sam, who then yanked Richie by the arm, dragging them all toward the front door in a desperate attempt to escape.

Amber sprinted into the kitchen while Annabeth moved to help Anika with Quinn's body. Amber lunged for the knife block on the counter, but her heart dropped—every knife was gone.

Anika let out another scream, pushing Quinn's lifeless body off her with all her strength. Mindy rushed over to help just as Ghostface appeared in the bedroom doorway, his black-robed figure blocking their path.

Mindy looked up at him, her heart sinking. "Oh fuck," she muttered under her breath.

Ghostface slashed without hesitation, his blade slicing deep into Mindy's bicep. She screamed as blood sprayed from the wound, staggering backward and clutching her injured arm.

"Fuck!" Annabeth gasped, her hands trembling as she tried to help Anika.

"Anika!" Mindy screamed in agony, still gripping her arm.

Summoning all her strength, Anika tackled Ghostface, but he spun with frightening precision. The knife plunged into her stomach, tearing upward as a gut-wrenching scream escaped her lips.

"Anika!" Annabeth cried, frozen in horror.

"NO!" Mindy wailed, her voice raw as she tried to crawl toward her friend, her wounded arm useless.

Amber acted fast, seizing the empty knife block in both hands. "Hey!" she shouted, catching Ghostface's attention.

He turned just as Amber swung with everything she had. The wooden block slammed into his face with a dull WHAM, knocking him back a step. Ghostface stumbled, momentarily dazed but still blocking their path to the front door, his knife slashing wildly through the air.

"This way!" Amber yelled, pointing toward Quinn's room.

With no other option, Amber, Annabeth, and Mindy scrambled to grab the bleeding Anika. Grunting with effort, they dragged her into Quinn's room, slamming the door shut behind them. Amber twisted the lock just as Ghostface threw himself at the door, slamming into it with terrifying force. The door rattled violently with each impact.

Downstairs, Tara, Sam, Richie, and Chad were bounding down the staircase, hearts pounding in their chests. But halfway down, Tara suddenly skidded to a stop.

"They're still up there!" she shouted, panic flooding her voice.

Without waiting, Tara turned and sprinted back up the stairs. Chad, not hesitating, reversed course and followed her. The two of them raced back up toward the apartment, fear driving them faster.

They reached the apartment door, now locked. Tara banged on it with both fists, her heart racing. "She's still in there!" she cried, frantic.

Chad looked over his shoulder, nervous as every second passed.
